After initially reviewing his third performance against Huck, Afolabi seemed to respond with indignant rashness suggesting he thought he deserved the nod. With a cooler head, eventually he would accede that he did not do enough to make that claim - but he does (rightfully, IMO) take exception to John Madfis' score. In subsequent comments: So he seems fairly confident in getting another whack despite Huck taking a convincing 2-0-1 lead (on paper) in their rivalry. :think Do you think he a) deserves a IV, based solely on his showing in III and b) would he be able to get it done, with Huck seeming to have improved more than he?
Ola lost, clearly, what he needs is to improve himself, because it's embarrassing that such a crude and raw fighter like Huck was outboxing him, though i don't blame him for wanting one more chance, all 3 fights with Huck were entertaining
Afolabi himself hardly landed anything great and Huck landed the bigger shots in most of the rounds even had Afolabi hurt at times. There is just noway Afolabi won that fight. Nothing new that a fighter thinks he done alot better than he actually did. I dont want a 4 fight... Huck-Arslan II and then I (and Huck himself) want that Huck moves up to heavyweight. Have good fights there (A Klitschko fight would be HUGE in germany) and then retire.
It was a dissapointing performaance from Ola,he did make it close coming on alte but clearly lost. I say let them move on.
I'd rather see him against someone else. In particular I think a match with Troy Ross would be great. Ross' mauling, aggressive southpaw style would probably blend beautifully with Ola's relaxed rolled and counter defense. It'd probably end up looking like a lower skilled but equally entertaining Toney-Jirov.

I scored it 115-113 for Huck. There were three very close rounds, I gave two to Afolabi and one to Huck. If you give all three close rounds to Huck, he wins 117-111. If you give all three to Afolabi, it's a 114-114 draw. Afolabi did not win more than 6 rounds. Huck deserved to win more than Afolabi, who should have increased his work rate.
Was a close fight. Anywhere from 115-113 ola - 116-112 Huck is a good score imo. The crowd definitely made Huck's work seem better than it was.
