Ok, just watched the fight with Kotelnik.

LOL @ the mutha****as who claim 'Kotelnik beat Maidana' and 'Maidana couldn't beat Kotelnik' and 'Maidana fears Kotelnik' :rofl. Has any of you jokers actually watched the whole fight? And if the answer's yes, how did you score it?

Although Maidana could have fought better, by using his jab a little more to make Kotelnik open up a bit, the best result that Kotelnik could ask for in that fight is a draw. I had it Maidana by 2 points, like one of the three judges. No way Kotelnik won that fight.

hometown decision. still consider Maidana is undefeated after watching it but fact is he has a loss. Maidana is a force to be reckoned with.

He should still be undefeated, but what can you do.

    :yep

Actually, that was the first fight of his that went the distance. Anywhere else but Germany he would have got the decision.

Isnt he like the closest active fighter to having a perfect 100% KO ratio after Edwin Valero?

He defo would have gotten the decision out of germany. I would love to see him at the top of 140

yep i saw the cayo fight. He broke him down badly. the bodyshot was nice, Maidanas handspeed is not as slow as people make it out to be.

Until the 4th round I was thinking 'Maidana is in for a tough fight, this kid can box'. But in the 5th Rene was already toying with him and you could see he didn't have anything in his punches anymore. That bodyshot was devestating indeed. The problem with Maidana is that he is relatively easy to hit, he drops his hands frequently during fights. That's a bit strange because at times he chooses to keep them up and cover up, but I guess that's his style. But his chin makes up for it though.

Cayo looked very uncomfortable after the knockdown. He felt those punches and got careless at times. Maidana has a tight guard at times but leaves himself open more than he should. He may not be the best technically but if he tightens up his guard hes gonna bulldoze a lot fighters.

    Exactly.

Can't wait to see him fight Bradley. Win or lose you just know this guy is gonna entertain you. It's gonna be a tough fight for both men.
