Of course he got ripped off. And nobody is getting anything extra from PPV since it flopped. If there is a rematch, he'll be asking for at least $5 million. I don't think Showtime can afford it if they don't get high PPV numbers. Showtime lost quite a bit of money on the PPV and Floyd will need to fight a high profile opponent to justify his purse, otherwise it's pretty much pointless to put on a fight.
He got his highest friggin pay day and probaly his first Milli for one night what was he bringin in before? ripped off my ass!
It got him more money than he'd ever made before, as is the case for each Floyd opponent since 2005... So yeah, I'd say fighting Mayweather does get you the most money.
it was the MOST he ever got paid..... and his first million for one night.... thats being ripped off now?
He was entitled to the revenue of Argentine networks. ...according to Schaefer and somebody somewhere in an interview who claimed to be a part of Maidana's team.
Marcos Maidana (WBA 147 Champion) - $1.5 million - Mayweather Lottery. Manny Pacquiao Lottery. :deal Brandon Rios - $4 million. Timothy Bradley 1 & 2 - $5 million & $6 million. Juan Manuel Marquez 3 - $5 million & $3 million.
op is right. madona got ripped off of purse, prevented from using commission- approved gloves and worst, robbed of victory. meanwhile, concaine and boner got paid the same for sparring sessions.
Did he have personal [Argentinian] sponsors on his shorts? Who were the Argentinian networks covering the fight? Was the fight PPV in Argentina? Who sponsored the fight in between advertisment breaks? Hopefully Chino got a good deal outside of the purse. He sure earned it.
