Who dictates to floyd again, or who dictated to trainer & ray leonard again!! See the dichotomy here, your the ****ing challenger, and you want to dictate terms!!!!!

Up to his promoter and team to negotiate the highest possible purse. If that's the best they could do and he signed...he was obviously good with it.

99% of boxers can only dream about earning a payday like Maidana.

It's still a career-high payday and should help him with future fights/earnings.

Don't go off purse, there have been purses documented at $1.00 before.

The money boxers make comes from a multitude of things, percentages of PPV buys, endorsements, TV deals, behind the scene(s) cash pay outs, foreign networks etc. etc. etc.

The Maidana-Mayweather fight was broadcasted on a major television network in Argentina with commercials etc. so there was money coming in from there......Also let's be honest here, boxing (the business end) has always been shady and seedy, alot of back door behind deals are made, that being said there is more money being made that what purses say.

Rest assured Floyd made sure every one got taken care of. :good

Money Team made sure everybody eating good, Ref's, Opponents, Judges...

There is a reason why every one wants to fight against Floyd.

$1.5MM was the purse that was submitted to the NSAC. It's just like how the purse that Pacquiao had submitted to the NSAC was $6MM, which was the same that was submitted for Tim Bradley.

Rios got paid more fighting Pac with less PPV sold. You tell us how is fighting Floyd a winning lottery ticket? Seems to me you get paid better fighting Pac.

Floyd likes to lowball his opponents. We can see it here, yet *****s will still defend him trying to lowball Pac and think its ok.

Sure Pac makes 40mil flat, Floyd makes 100mil+. Meanwhile the difference in their last ppv buys is about 8-10% yet Floyd is expected to get paid 200% more?

I personally don't think making 1.5 million for 40 mins of work getting ripped off. You got to look at Maidana's team to why he didn't get paid more. could he have negotiated more maybe but he has zero power to ask for much more. Also because the card was so stacked with much the higher profile Broner and Khan fan wize is probably why he didn't get more also.

I find it surprising that people hate Floyd so much that they will hate and nick pick over everything. Since when is getting paid 1.5 million dollars for 40mins worth of work getting ripped off.

It's called negotiating, you come in with a lowball offer and go from there. Floyd offerd Pacquiao the fight for 40 million, Pacquiao doesn't even come up with a counter offer. If PAC really wanted to make the fight he would try to negotiate, he walked away two times from the only real chance the fight could have been made. He resigns with top rank knowing full well this would probably kill any chance of the fight, but you guys will not see what's right in front of you. Alex and even roach himself admits it, it's Pacquiao's fault the fight didn't happen.

Maidana took close to as little punishment as possible when "losing" a 12 round fight, and his stock rose after the performance. He doesn't seem to be the type of guy that is all about the huge money anyways. That is more for the chronically insecure, you know who...
This guy got his land, cattle, financially set for life, beautiful family. What more is there to ask of life?

The actual purse total is probably at least double of the $1.5mill.
