Those who say Maidana needs to be better conditioned have it right.

My worry for Maidana is that throughout his career, he has often had spots in fights where he looks exhausted. Another thing is that when Ariza left fighters, their conditioning seemed to drop a little, shakes aside, he seems to get the fighters in great condition. I just wonder if Maidanas conditioning in the last fight was as good as it could ever get. Anything less is just a huge advantage to Mayweather.

I'm sure they have been working on conditioning a lot for this fight and they say they are better than ever, but every fighter says that.

if floyd goes for the ko he breaks his china hands and then he will panic and maidana will win. so much for your theory.

I suspect Floyd has been training for strength and power. His traps and delts look bigger and it's been commented that he looked more aggressive in training. I think he's bothered by Maidana saying his punches had no power and maybe looking to prove something come Saturday. If not a KO then a beat down with accurate, harder punches.

The story of the fight is opposite from last time - Floyd looks bigger/stronger whilst Maidana has been training for speed and cutting extra weight. Is Floyd planning to stay in the pocket again or is the yoga training to aid his movement?

Punching power doesn't really come from the delts or traps though - it's that hip rotation, turning your fist over and setting your feet that creates most of the force. It would be a big mistake for Floyd to come in heavier for this fight because he is never going to outmuscle Maidana - he needs to be quicker on his feet than in the first fight.

So Mayweather will knock him out, and the event will sell AT LEAST 1.5m PPV.

****'s sake you're setting yourself up for a crow buffet again.

I agree with highlighted b/c as a strength coach with credentials, you are right on.

However, I disagree with Floyd needing to be light on his feet than the first fight, he just needs to keep the fight in the center of the ring and not rely on the ropes too much.

Knocked out by who, Kellie Maloney?

I don't think so, I wish that were true but highly doubtful. Also - terrible undercard. HORRIBLE.

Can someone be unbiased for a change on here, Floyd wins this is as he is by far superior to Maidana, the chance of Floyd KO'ing Maidana is quite slim as he is not known for doing this recently, Maidana has even less chance of winning by any method as Floyd worked him out in the first fight and Maidana is not able to come out with a different style, he is what he is and that's a come forward aggressive fighter and Floyd is used to this now.

Well I think what we will see in this next fight is what we expected to see in the 1st fight.

I expected Floyd to attack maidana in the body, which is precisely how he will stop him in this fight. It was strange that Floyd fought the way he did the first time. He could be shot as far as his legs go like Roach suggested....but i get the impression the way Floyd fought the first time was a deliberate and calculated method to pave the way for this rematch. I expect Floyd to weather the storm in the first 3- rounds and then adjust and start cracking ribs and ripping the liver and kidneys apart, on the way to a whitewash victory:thumbsup.
