It goes to show that the guy is an *******. ****, it's nothing to take personal, some people are assholes.
There are photos of Khan and Maidana hanging out in the dressing room afterwards. If Khan isn't whining about it I don't see why anybody else should.
He's lucky he ain't in with a guy like Manny, lol. He'll smile and giggle as he dislocates Marcos' face.
I just don't see how this conversation is relevant. It's customary, but too respectful. Professional boxing is about getting paid to win and getting that meal ticket. It took Maidana hell to get Kahn in the ring and I'm sure he was trigger happy to end the fight. In the end Kahn won at the negotiation table and the fight what more do you want as a Kahn fan?
He started the fight like an unprofessional twat, used dirty tactics during the game like an unprofessional twat, and walked off at the end without congratulating his conqueror like an unprofessional twat. So no, according to me he has no morals.
If your going to call Maidana "immoral" for not touching gloves before hitting someone in the face, your going down a very dark path which leads to questioning the very nature of the sport itself. I like Khan but was actually getting annoyed at the amount of times he tried to touch gloves, when he knew Maidana wouldn't do the same. When I first went to a boxing gym one of the first things they told me in sparring was don't offer to touch gloves with the other guy, wait for him. Fact is Maidana is a tough, gritty fighter who will do what it takes to win at all costs, I don't have a problem with it.
I don't really think it matters. Maidana and Khan were trying to knock each other, so who cares if they didn't touch gloves? Maidana was trying to get in Khan's head and show him he means business. It's just tactics. He showed a lot of passion and aggression and that should, if anything, be commended. I'm sick of these pussies who cry at every chance. Maidana is a warrior who came to fight and that's what I want to see.
