They had already shook hands before the first bell, during the face off. AFTER the first bell, it's time to fight, not time to shake hands again. It's similar to everybody acting like the guy breaking up a perfect game with a bunt is an *******.
Immoral, but not particularly bad. Certainly not a mortal sin. Still, they mean that I can't admire his character in the same way I admire his ability.
Once the bell rings and the ref lets you go, it is all you and your foe. Nothing else. Not even sportsmanship. That's gay stuff .
I wouldn't call it that, a lot of guys do it. It's sportsmanship. Throwing a punch when someone does that just means you're an *******. This isn't a bar fight, it's professional boxing.
This is BOXING, Protect your self at all times. If you are crying over this you need to grow up and stop crying. I've always wondered why the heck boxers want to touch gloves after a good exchange. be friends after the final bell rings, but during the fight it's WIN.
What Maidana did is fair game. In fact, I'd like to see more fighters do what he did. When the bell rings, fighters must protect themselves at all times. Khan should know this. I don't know Maidana personally therefore I can't really judge him as a person. You're better off complaining about his dirty tactics such as hitting the back of the head or using elbows. Don't tell me he is immoral for not bumping fists. Khan is the idiot for leaving himself open to get hit. This is the game of hurt. I expect to see a war. Glove taps, hugs, and kisses should all be done when the match is over.
he's the dirtiest fighter at world / near-world level in the sport of boxing. One only has to watch his recent fights to see this.
Your head was so far up your ass that you didnt hear maidana give khan congratulations.Nice job trying to stir **** up.
:deal Even though I consider it a cheapshot by Maidana and it shows bad sportmanship, it isn't required unless it's the last round where they have to touch gloves. Maidana reminded me actually abit of Duran who didn't give a **** about sportsmanship and just came in to do what they came to do. Even though I didn't like it one bit, Amir was wise to protect himself at all times. I was glad Khan dropped Maidana for the cheapshot in round 1, but I also couldn't help but laugh as they touched gloves in the final round Khan was very careful and took a quick step back.
Well, it's probably habitual for some fighters in sparring to come right out punching. Just like Maidana did.
that midget UFC fighter manny gamburyan once made the "lets touch gloves" motion, then tried to kick the guy in the face. now THAT is wrong because he was the one who made the suggestion to touch gloves. for a some guys it breaks their concentration when they plan to come out all guns blazing but then they have to hesitate because they need to stop in the middle of the ring to touch gloves, so they just ignore it.
Morally what, shithead? This thread is ******ed. Who cares? The fight was great, Marcos' morality question can be answered by the PLETHORA of shitty tattoos he has, I suppose.
