Marcos Maidana: Is He Moral?

Hmm. So who's to say that Khan wasn't faking the "let's touch gloves" motion himself? He just never had the chance to pull back his glove and punch because Maidana never attempted to touch up. If I'm Maidana, I'm not taking that chance.

 

by "lets touch gloves" motion i mean before the bell even rang to start the fight he gestured to him from across the ring like "lets touch gloves" which is what makes it so cheap.

 

So you're saying he threw the kick before the bell? And hell, he got his opponent to fall for it from acrossed the ring? He might as well have pulled the old "heyyyy, what's that on your shirt?".....and tagged him when he looked down to see what was there. Or how about, "hey, what's that behind you"?

Maidana is a horrible sport in the ring. That haymaker at the start of the fight was totally uncalled for. People who claim that Maidana wasn't obliged by the formal rules don't understand the meaning of a gentleman's agreement.
Khan on the other was a great sport and gave us a fantastic fight. My sincere appreciation for both fighters to have delivered such a gruelling war. Great finish to an awful year.
