That was one of the most badass body-shot KO's I've seen in a while. I love his style, he's a mauling break em' down type of puncher. I want to see him against Urango and Kahn.
I loved how kellerman called out Khan for Maidana, that was great. Khan hasnt fought in the US and already hes been depicted as a weak chinned *****.
Yeah... Maidana is a badass. Very heavy handed puncher, quick hands, lots of heart, no defense, can be dropped.... all the things that add up to a cant miss fighter. 140 is on fire! Bradley, Alexander, Khan, Maidana, Ortiz, Valero are ALL young, and in thier primes. Gotta love it!
He isn't Floyd but he can block shots. I wouldn't say he has completly no defense but limited may be the best word.
I love Maidana. I thought he narrowly won it against kotelnik, and my admiration was fully cemented after the badass performance against Ortiz. The dude is clearly limited, does'nt defend well and can be shut out against certain styles. He does however make the most of what he has (solid power, deceptively quick hands, ruggedness) in conjunction with an unshakeable will. Certainly a great addition to the talent at 140. Put him in with urango, valero etc..... and World war 3 is pretty much guaranteed.
His defense is pretty dodgy bro. At the elite level guys will have no trouble finding him. But he'll always be a threat cause he can bang, and he has a not a give attitude in the ring. Those two attributes can get you pretty far.
