Algieri has MAJOR balance issues, a lazy jab, sub par hand speed, and no power. Why are people acting like this guy is a master class out-boxer? If Maidana was able to get in on and maul Floyd and Broner I don't see why Algieri would be any different.

Pacquiaos die hard fans hype him in the hope that everyone believes them and rates the win as some sort of amazing achievement, they forget the fact that not everyone is as stupid as them.

 

Algieri has a bad habit of going into a shell defense and putting his head down, this gives Maidana tons of opportunities. Maidana is actually bigger and stronger than Algieri so he will be able to muscle him around at points. Algieri is definitely a safe pick though.

Put it this way, Floyd superior to Algieri in every way, yet Maidana was able to set traps and even outsmart Floyd in spots. He can do the same to Algieri. Granted Algieri and Floyd are very different fighters.

:good I believe Chris would be even better at 147 due to his 5'10 frame. He moves a lot and can box. Hell with the right trainer and aggressive game plan he could bust Maidana up and stop him

You're right. Algieri's style of slow, weak, inaccurate punches and getting knocked down every 2 minutes is much better against Maidana's style.
