Based on your comment: No because Mayweather and Algieri do not have a common opponent.

Where did your comment come from? :patsch

    :-(

Boxing isn't always reducible to obvious attributes like power, aggression, or chin (and I'd say it's up to debate whether Provodnikov truly is Maidana's superior in any of those categories, just for the record) - stuff like styles and technique come into play.

Maidana, especially since he linked up with Garcia, throws from more awkward, unpredictable angles than Provodnikov - who does hit very hard and is relentless indeed but isn't exactly the most creative nor varied in his attacks or method of delivery. Maidana has a very solid OHR - the punch that Provodnikov floored Algieri with, and one that Algieri has consistently been caught with on his rise up through C- and B- level competition before he fought Provodnikov and became known on the world scene. (Arnaoutis, Taylor, Jargal, and Peralta Alejo were all successful in scoring the OHR to various degrees) - and Maidana's is thrown from angles far less easy to anticipate than Provodnikov's, and slightly faster to boot. (I'd maybe give Provodnikov the raw power edge at welter, but he's slower and less explosive than Maidana)

Emanuel Taylor actually has more of a natural welterweight frame than Maidana (or Provodnikov) but Algieri was able to dominate him because Taylor is so conventional in his approach, whereas Provodnikov's more brawling style allowed him to connect on Algieri with bombs flying in from directions he wasn't expecting - a problem that would be even worse against Maidana.

Algieri schools him badly. Regarding power, Maidana doesn't have enough power to even knock Khan down. Algieri could easily resist Provodnikov's power....

    But fl0mos gonna h0mo.

If Provo and Pac couldn't KO him, and Chino ain't doin it either. Algeiri by sd or a draw, or Maindana by sd.

    He almost kayoed him, actually.

Easily resist his power, eh? :nut

    Did you forget the 1st?

He spend the next eleven avoiding his power, not "resisting".

Pacquiao is a southpaw. Algieri's big weakness (proven long before any of you casuals saw him the first time against RP) is the OHR - a weapon Pacquiao simply doesn't have in his ****nal.

Maidana isn't better than Pacquiao, but he does have that weapon in his ****nal. So did Provodnikov, hence the 1st round KD, but Provodnikov isn't as good at cutting the ring off and finishing as Maidana, or at using awkward unpredictable angles to deliver the blows.

what i am saying is if pacquaio and ruslan could not get chris out of there what chance does maidana have?

chris has proven to be tough maidana is not better then pacquaio that,s a fact a shot morales beat him in my books

    chris would outbox maidana

    :patsch

    Pay careful attention here:

Maidana is among them all the best equipped to land the punch that Algieri is (proven throughout his career) most susceptible to being caught flush with - the punch that Provodnikov dropped him with, and something Pacquiao by definition can't land and doesn't even have in his ****nal, being a southpaw: the overhand right. The fact that both Provodnikov and Pacquiao dropped and hurt Algieri means that Maidana, being the best equipped to land the OHR (since Pacquiao doesn't throw it, and Provodnikov's is easier to see coming/thrown from more predictable angles) should also be able to drop and hurt Algieri with that punch, and then finish him thereafter with that same punch, since regardless of whether you think Maidana hits as hard as either of them he is up there in that league of power at welterweight. So who actually hits the hardest between Maidana, Provodnikov, and Pacquiao doesn't matter so much here because this is more about which punch we are talking about landing and how it gets there - meaning that Maidana has more of a chance to drop and badly hurt or KO Algieri than Pac or Provo did.

You're assuming simplicity where there is a bit more nuance.

Thats fine if you think that but for me maidana is extremely limited fighter and even if he lands that shot chris would still survive one thing chris has proved to me after the ruslan and pac fight is he is one tough cookie maidnaa has problems with movement he has no speed no sense of distance whatsoever.

Maidna will do worse then ruslan

You still won't shut up, give it a rest. Algieri is not as good as you make him out to be. He's not bad though so calm down.

One more loss and he'll be too irrelevant for them.
