Marcos Maidana vs DeMarcus Corley

Is he always on your mind?

 

Not all that surprised. I figured Corley would still be around late. I'm just not all that impressed with Maidana...and Corley has a history of not getting stopped by fighters he's supposed to get stopped by.

 

Round 11

Corley working the right hook and looking spritely on his feet. It may be an illusion, or else he's found a second win. Maidana keepss driving his fists into the body of Corley; that has to be taking its toll after ten rounds and change. Corley wobbles a bit from a mostly blocked right hand. Corley is warned to keep the punches up. To be fair, the referee gives the same instruction to Maidana. It seems Maidana may have taken one in the junk, actually. Time out is called to allow him to pull it together which he does quickly. Corley ducks and floats his right jab as a trap for Maidana, and tries to bring a chopping left hand down on his face when he takes the bait. Maidana throws a lazy left hook and thrusts his shoulder hard into Corley in the clinch, and Corley goes down. It seems to have been ruled a slip. Corley leads with the left qand lands twice in a row. Triple jab from Corley! Maidana grabs him and tries to rough him up to the body on the inside. The ref warns Maidana to keep them up! Corley with a body attack of his own! Another lead left lands for Corley! Maidana jabs with his back to the ropes! Corley throws a fire******* left hand that gets Maidana's attention to close out the round!

 

One thing is for sure, Corley got a better chin then Khan. Khan would be ko badly by Mayweather, Prime Judah, Cotto at 140 pounds that's for sure.

 

Its 5:20 am in uk, i think am watching Maidana fight cuz i like him?

 

Damn, now I wish I had been scoring this. It will be interesting to see what happens if both survive the last round.

The way you tell it in those rounds, i think Maidana is winning the fight quite clearly.

Round 12

Corley is going for it! right hooks galore! Maidana a bit buzzed! Maidana throws a counter right to the body with no steam. Corley sets up his left with a jab and brings it around like a corkscrew, barely missing. MAIDANA turns up the heat, digging deep and throwing hard in a 1-2 pattern to the body. Corley sways on his feet from the force of missing a right. Maidana sways while trying to tag him from the outside with his shorter reach. They sway into each other's trajectory and each misses a power shot, one after the other. Both now just walk forward straight into each other and throw pendulum shots to the hips of their opponent. Corley covers and jabs Maidana in the face. BIG combo from Corley! Maidana flurries as Corley physically pushes him to the ropes! Corley with an overhand left! Maidana with short drumroll combos! Corley takes a step back, the bell rings, and Maidana loads up on a right hand a bit late but Corley stands up to it! WOAH!

 

The way you say it, you think Khan will ko Maidana in the 1st round right? :rofl
