I like Alexander in this one. He should outbox Maidana easily, and I believe he is smart enough not to slug with a slugger.

I actually think Alexander is the best fighter at 140. He will easily outbox Maidana to a UD win.

BTW I thought Alexander was in the 140 pound tourney that HBO was suppose to be doing?

Yeah this is an easy fight to Call...ALEXANDER EASY!!! People tend to forget that Ortiz was putting Maidana on the Canvas early and often...Ortiz was just didn't know how to finish him!!!

I'll side with the others in picking Alexander. His athleticism and boxing ability will likely prove too much. Kevin Cunningham is not going to let him slug with the Argentine who, though impressive and fun to watch, only can win this fight if he's able to push the action.

I'm glad to see HBO taking such an interest in the 140 lb. division. With Manny probably staying at or around 147 for now, the scene is wide open with a slight presumption in favor of the Bradley/L. Peterson fight. However, guys like Alexander, Khan, Maidana, and Ortiz really make this a division to watch in the future.

Alexander is the better boxer so i'm picking him to win by TKO/KO but i will give maidana a puncher's chance. That boy got power.

Solid fight. 140 is in need of some clarity and this would certianly offer up some. Alexander by ko.

I think Alexander could outbox him, but Maidana's got some ****ing pop, so who knows?
