A great fight until Wards bodyshots take the fight out of Maidana Maidana can be hit, and Ward had one of the greatest liver shots ever seen. Ward starts slow and eats some shots, but Ward is tough as nails and caves Maidanas ribs in by mid rounds. Underrated Ward for the brutal stoppage by KO.
If maidana thought Kahn’s liver shot was good ward will introduce him to one of the best delivered/executed that boxing has ever seen. That said, I think maidana in a close one and wins because he’s busier. Ward could do serious damage to him though, like brutalise him, an I wouldn’t be surprised if he won
Maidana was in a slightly higher class but I think Ward was tough and durable enough to survive the distance. This would be an action packed fight between two guys with a lot of heart who liked to brawl. Maidana on points
For me it is basically a Ward body shot KO or a Maidana decision. Ward is a very slow starter and Maidana is known to throw 70+ punches a round, so work rate is one thing, but Ward has the rallying factor and a livershot that can wreck any streaks. So that's the either or for me.
