Two hard-hitting sluggers without much in the way of technique. This would be a war.

    Who wins this one?

Maidana was the better boxer overall.

I feel he would wear Bailey down.

Maidana. More dimensions and Bailey couldn't sustain a workrate.

Did Maidana have those dimension at 140 though. He added wrinkles at 147 and found ways to land his looping shots with his unorthodox nature. At 140 he was a crude game slugger

This is a good point. He tended to be more a banger at 140 than when he was at 147

I think he'd have scouted Bailey well, who indeed had no dimensions at all. He was like a poor man's Joe Smith in a lower weight class. But I take your point that Maidana did diversify his attack as he progressed.

Yeah, I would favor Maidana to get Bailey late because Bailey relied too much on finding the right hand, but there's a real possibility Bailey ends him with it. Randall was a huge puncher. Certainly one of the biggest I've ever seen at 140.
