I can see this fight ending at any time inside the distance with either man winning, as well as Khan winning on points. The only thing I can't see is Maidana winning on points. If it goes his way as in his fight, on the inside, there's no way it lasts, he gets the knockout. Khan on the other hand I could see blitzing Maidana from the outside or taking him the distance on the outside. This is a good fight, I think Khan should be favored but, I don't know why he's such a very heavy favorite...I assume Freddie is quite comfortable with the match-up also...
I can see this fight being an up and down war. I doubt it goes 12 rounds. Maidana has a really high KO percentage, Khan has suspect punch resistance. It only takes one mistake and one clip to the head and the fight could swing here. Khan could dazzle with his speed here and look flashy in battering Maidana, but it only takes a big counter from a wounded opponent.
**** prediction. Wait till Khan faces someone with SPEED, SKILL & POWER. Boxers usually beat punchers.
Right back to take my flack. I took a chance and made a prediction. As I said I don't think Amir is as fast as Mayweather and after watching Maidana I fancied him to get caught with one of those flush shots. What I was surprised by was how well he took it. He showed a lot of heart and improved punch resistance. I thought the scoring was fair however yet again we had the bull **** reffering where Maidana was deducted a point without warning for a minor offense while Khan was allowed to get away with execise amounts of holding which had a huge affect on the fight. The fight could easily went the other way (I had a draw without the unfair point deduction) but I have no shame coming back on here because 90% of what I thought would happen and after all I was a lot closer than people like floyd g.o.a.t and the rest who said Khan would win every round convincingly. Maidana actually came close to getting a KO.
