First up is Mikael Zewski vs. Clint Coronel - 6 rounds @ 154.

 

This is the same card. The PPV portion of it doesn't start for another two hours.

 

Round 1

Zewski is backing up throwing right uppercuts. Coronel comes forward alternately throwing underhands to the body and shoving out with his forearms while coming forward. Zewski slaps around to the back of his head with an overhand right. Robert Byrd warns Coronel to keep it clean. Zewski is moving well, but not punching much until Coronel's already inside. Good hook by Zewski. Coronel pushes him into the ropes and throws a few pitty-pats to the face. Big overhand right by Coronel, dodged.

10-9 Zewski

 

Round 2

Coronel throws short chopping shots coming forward, and then leans into Zewski and hooks to the body. Zewski blocks a few high-slapping shots and lands a counter hook while backing up. Coronel drops a very slow and heavy overhand right atop Zewski's right bicep and gets countered in the face with a left jab. Coronel bows his head down and works his way in throwing uppercuts to the body. Zewski answers with one finally, but Coronel had been outworking him for a while and backing him up. Zewski covers up and blocks until Coronel stops punching, and then flurries while backing up. Good hook by Zewski. Uppercut by Zewski misses, and Coronel shoeshines the body.

I'm actually giving that to Coronel. His body work made the difference.

19-19

 

Round 3

Coronel comes forward curling hooks over with both hands, flapping against Zewski's elbows for the most part. Hard left hooks to the body by Zewski are catching Coronel below the ribs. Coronel keeps walking into counters but Zewski's power doesn't seem to bother him too much. Coronel crouches and sticks his left hand out, turned outward to push - looking very much like an old-time boxer. Zewski lines him up with a right hand and starts backing up. Coronel is slapping his way in but then walks right into a flush right hand to the nose that stops him in his tracks. It's hard to read his reaction - for a moment it looked like he might keel over but then he snaps out of it and digs a hard left hook into Zewski's side. Coronel is flicking jabs into Zewski's guard and throwing a mess of uppercuts to the body.

Zewski better be careful if he wants to protect his "0". This is only a six-rounder.

 

Round 4

Coronel keeps pressuring and forcing Zewski to hide in his shell backing up. Coronel's punches are terribly executed but he just keeps hooking away to the body and staying in Zewski's face. Coronel does have a nice veteran trick for a guy who's 4-1-2 - he'll leave a lazy jab dangling out over Zewski's gloves, then suddenly push down on them and throw a right hand over the top. Zewski is pumping rights while backing up. All one at a time from Zewski. Big sweeping right hand to the body misses by Zewski. Coronel is coming forward bowing up and down and winging uppercuts. Absolute arm punches, but they're still backing Zewski up. Zewski tries to steal the round with a flurry. Nah.

39-37 Coronel

 

Round 5

Coronel throws sloppy hooks inside and uppercuts to the body. Zewski is walked into the corner and thumped on the body. Zewski is trying to hook off the back foot and palm-thrust Coronel away but just getting his arms knotted and pushed down so Coronel can keep hitting him. Coronel is a good deal stronger physically, and stronger-willed...while Zewski is clearly the more skilled for what it's worth. Coronel leaves his left arm draped against Zewski, blinding him, and landing uppercuts to the body. Right to the body by Coronel. Left hook to the ear by Coronel. Zewski backs up and flurries. Coronel hooks him into the ropes, leaning into him. Bullying. left and right uppercuts by Coronel.


49-46 Clint coronel

 

Round 6

Right uppercut by Zewski, then a good hard straight right. Zewski is suddenly boxing much better, punching while moving and keeping Coronel at bay. Coronel leans his way in, grabbing and wrestling. Zewski starts popping his jab a bit. Coronel keeps leading with his head, getting right into Zewski's chest and letting hooks fly. Zewski is blocking and ducking, and landing some counters. Coronel works the body with his uppercuts. Zewski eats a left hook backing up. Zewski double jabs Coronel on the hairline and then bangs him on the face with two right uppercuts. Coronel leading with uppercuts to the face and swiping with his left behind it. Coronel letting his hands go nonstop now. Suddenly Zewski is dazed by a left hook! Coronel batters him to the ropes but is too wild and can't capitalize.

Even with Zewski getting hurt, I give him the round. Not enough, though.

58-56 Coronel but I can almost guarantee you he won't get the nod..
