Not just controversial, one of the most obvious home cooking events in this decade, where the referee and two of the judges were obviously partial.

The ref counts at 3:07, that's so stupid. Kalajdzic had slipped, there were no knock down. It's the proof of robbery.

Controversial as in was the decision BS?

    Yes. Kalajdžić should have won.

I'm not aware of there being people who think he shouldn't, though. So controversy is maybe not the right word. There isn't any substantial debate or disagreement. Everyone (or damn near everyone) thinks Kalajdžić got shafted.

Uhhh, yeah. One of the worst robberies of that year. The officiating and judging was corrupt on every level.

Hot Rod clearly won but the three home judges robbed him blind

Browne was dropped once and badly hurt another time and he also went down twice in the back half of the fight which were arguably KDs and the ref could've ruled as such if he wanted to

The only reason Browne didn't get KTFO is because he held like an octopus all night, an Excessive with a capital E amount of holding, which the ref conveniently turned a blind eye to

Ever so conveniently the ref decided to rule a KD in favour of Browne in round one which was clearly a slip and after no punch had landed

And not only did he rule it a KD but he did even warn Browne about hitting Hot Rod when he was down with a cheap shot

And even worse, after Hot Rod got shafted by the ref and the judges Browne acted like a massive douche at the post-fight presser and refused to give Hot Rod a rematch even though he knew he lost and that virtually everyone else did too
