Don't have my tickets yet, still seeing who's going to come with me. It'll be wherever they have handicap seating as I'm still in a cast from foot surgery. Hopefully they don't cost an arm and a leg. :yep It looks like the cheap seats start at $75 and then go way up from there.
You should act fast man. Ticketmaster is all sold out. I ended up getting two $75 seats for $147 EACH on stubhub.
Diaz will outclass Davis most likely. His highly unorthodox, rangy striking just seems to befuddle the typical MMA quality striker. That along with his bullying demeanor and unbreakable mentality. Should be another showcase for him.
I hope Davis wins to he seems to have a temper sometimes but hes not a bad guy. Nate Diaz is just a classless little twat but hes talented, tough and puts on very good fights. I like Marcus here though hes a legit Welterweight, can box pretty well with some tight shots and he has good kicks to Nate cant just walk him down throw arm punches and break Marcus down like other guys, Marcus has good grappling skills to not on the level of Nate Diaz but I think he can avoid some takedowns. I like Marcus by decision because like I said Nate is damn tough like his brother there nearly impossible to finish. No matter what this is a damn good fight but I wont count out Nate because Marcus is alittle shopworn. All those years as a pro boxer and now hes had some tough fights in MMA go back to say 08-09 he had some vicious fights back to back with Taylor, Lytle, Hardy and Saunders.
His boxing record is not too bad on paper until you look at you he has fought and how pathetic their record are. He has a ridiculously padded boxing record littered with bums and nobodies.
I can honestly say that is an AWFUL record, he lost to a guy that was supposed to help him pad it lol... Ahh well, guess that is why he is an MMA fighter and not a boxer.
Guys he only made it ten fights deep into his career. It's all relative, depending on what standard you're holding him up to. From the perspective of him being an elite prospect, en route to p4p greatness? Yeah, losing in the midst of his "building up" period isn't too great. When you consider that there are boxers at just about every level, and that there are scores of guys out there who lose to the likes of the 9 guys he beat...viewed from the perspective of just an ordinary guy trying his hand at the sport, no, it's actually not too bad. Fight fans often lack perspective. He's more than made up for his lack of quality opposition in boxing in MMA. Again - let's put things in perspective. His MMA record isn't spectacular by boxing standards (15-7 would be considered wretched in boxing, no matter who the competition was) but it's been a lot of good names. In MMA, even the top p4p guys have records that would look shitty in boxing.
