Mares-Agbeko Who you got??

I have a small bet on Agbeko just for fun, but I cant bring myself to bet more because I'm convinced he's going to be robbed. :-(

Agbeko by comfortable UD.

Everything points towards an Agbeko win IMO.

 

Before this tournament, I'd have had no hesitation in picking Agbeko. Mares though, has really shown me something in his last two fights. I thought he beat Perez and showed some real grit against Darchinyan. When I watched him early in his career, I thought he seemed a little soft but he's certainly dispelled that notion.

I'm still slightly leaning towards Agbeko but I wouldn't be surprised if Mares pulled it off.

 

It took 2 fights for Agbeko to beat Perez and only 1 for Mares.

Both heavily favour Agbeko.

 

If you think the Agbeko that fought Perez the first time round is the same one that won almost every round in the rematch, then you don't know Joseph Agbeko :deal

Ok, then why is Agbeko such an underdog do you think the bookmakers are stupid Mares opened at -145 now he's -200 and as high as -250.

 

They have bought into the hype like alot of others cleary have and the fact they know the fix is in if Agbeko doesn't damn near kill Mares in the ring. This should be an easy fight for Agbeko really, he's simply a higher level fighter than Mares.

 

Because he is the much more well known and popular fighter. In truth this is a 50/50 fight and the bookies should treat it as such.

It's also a very close fight on paper, but I favour Agbeko. I never said it was wrong to favour Mares, it isn't, you could make a case for him winning certainly. But as far as I see it, Agbeko has done better against common opponents (hardly controversial) and is favoured in the match up of styles, that's all I said.
