Mares - Montiel

    Abner Mares and Fernando Montiel are two of the better lighter weight fighters of the last 10 years and their matchup as the co-main event with Thurman - Porter on March 12 could potentially be a barnburner.

    So what is everyone's opinion on this one? Who will win, how will they do it and will this be a back and forth war?

    At 118 it will taken more seriously, at 126 both are too small

    Ya probably a better fight at 118 but sometimes, when guys gain a little weight and are a little older and a little slower, they make for better fights as the plant their feet and trade more. That's my take on this one.

    The question is Who will win, how will they do it and will this be a back and forth war?

    If Mares can't beat Montiel he should consider retirement at this point.
