Mares/Perez fight

Do you how much a ticket is right now, to just fly over to Chicago? More money than I can afford to spend with my father not working. And my parents were able to fly over there because their insurance covered it with the clinic he went to.

My parents made that choice. I wanted to go but considering that it's over 600 dollars for a one way ticket, I couldn't, considering that quite a bit of my money is helping my parents pay for their finances since my father can't work.

According to you, I'm a coward son because my parents told me to stay behind and go next time with him when he gets chemo.

I can't afford 1200 hours for a round way trip while also needing to WORK and help my parents pay their bills.

I'm still amazed at how you call me a coward because I didn't go with my dad to what at first was expected to only be a 4-5 day evaluation trip. No one was expecting him to chemo this fast. The family thought he would come back first before he got his first chemo treatment.

I missed the post fight interviews. Did either say they thought they had done enough? Was there a mention of an immediate rematch? Was a fantastic fight, Mares showed a lot of heart to finish so strong. I was rooting for him.

And good call with the "if Mares was Spanish" point. So true.

Literally just finished watching the fight.

Sorry bro, when a fight is as close as that, I can't call it a robbery when both fighters leave the ring still undefeated.

Both fighters did great in that fight, with Mares being a little more accurate, but I agreed with Tarver when he stated, that Mares' is the challenger and he should've did more to solidify a decision win against the champ, ecspecially in a fight that was as close as it was.

 

I never agreed with the "you have to take the title away". If you win more rounds..albeit 7-5...you win the fight, you beat the champion, you take the title.
