I thought the 3 mil offer was the purse to be divided, not just donaire's purse

No the 3 million was Donaire's purse + the fee for Top Rank for his services, to be divided as Donaire, Dunkin, and Arum decide.

Well looking at that figure and arum, the offer doesn't say who will promote the fight, which also means ticket sales and ppv buys. That offer is not really all that high, donaire probably gets around 1 mil plus, its how it is when there are 2 promoters. They only talk about 3 mil this and 1 mil that while not talking about the other important details that would generate the most money.

Donaire's highest purse to date is 1.1. Golden Boy would promote; the 3 million is precisely for Top Rank not to promote, just like TR's offer of 1 was similarly Mares purse + the cost for GB to step aside.

1 million to be split between everybody. When Schaefer offered 3 million to Donaire, he said that Doanire would be getting at least 1.5 million himself depending on his deal with Arum. The other part of the money is to tell Arum to back off

then this is simply a battle between two promoters, the most important deciding factor is whoever promotes that fight, because he would be the winner in the end.

This is always split between the fighter, promoter, manager, trainer and then expenses come out. You make it sound like this is something new?

Another thing being left out here. Arum as negotiating with Schaefer through Mares' promoter. Schaefer has made a 'take it or leave it, no negotiating' offer. In other words, SCHAEFER ENDED NEGOTIATIONS. No other way to see that. Gotta ask yourself that question.

You are the only one with promoter **** in your face. Its sad that your alcoholic. Junkie **** of a favorite fighter retires and now you are going down on Arum and the rest of Top Rank full time. Don't have enough knowledge to talk about other things?

"It's a bulls--- offer," said Arum. "The lawyers are handling it. There is no possible way because we have a commitment to HBO. We're going ahead with that commitment on April 13 on HBO. After that, we'll revisit the situation. So he's going to fight on April 13, and he's going to fight either Rigondeaux or Darchinyan, period, end of story.

"Donaire last year was Fighter of The Year. Part of that was his efforts. But, secondly, a lot of the credit has to go to HBO, which afforded him the opportunity to fight four times last year. Four times so that he's Fighter of The Year because of his efforts, and because of Top Rank's efforts, and very importantly, because of HBO. It was HBO and the opportunities that they created and the publicity that they created that helped make Nonito the Fighter of The Year, and you don't turn your back on that, period."

Arum said he made a similar offer to Golden Boy for a Donaire-Mares clash on HBO on April 13.

"We offered a reasonable amount to them to fight, and I'm not going to negotiate in the media, but we offered them a reasonable amount to fight Mares on HBO on April 13, and they rejected that," said Arum.
