Vasquez Jr jab was taggin Nonito all night long...imagine what Mares could do.
Nonito the favorite, but Mares a very live underdog.
A shame that TR and GBP wont do it.

Unfortunately I can't see either cash cow being risked against each other. I imagine Nishioka will be avoided as well. There was a reason he was 'promoted' to super champ. I hope to be proved completely wrong of course.

That would be a war, mares would be the biggest test Nonito could ask for at bantam to Jr feather. Would still have to go with the flash, to versatile and smart at this stage.

What the **** is the go with the cristian Mijarea rumor? Talk about 1 step forward 2 steps back :-(

    I'd be rooting for Mares.
With all the amazing fighters in SB and B divisions someone has a chance to become great.

Vasquez was too weary that Donaire would knock him out cold that's why he resulted just like what Narvaez did.. He covered himself in a shell with occasional jabs. Donaire wanted Vasquez to gain some confidence so he can land his fight ending punch that's why he's willing to be hit, too bad he overdid it and it busted his face.. :yep

Mares is a fighter Donaire should stay away from. Donaire is better skillwise but Mares is physically very big for the weight and also has a style which would be even more difficult than Rigondeux in some ways.

Donaire might win but it's high risk low reward.

donaire would have no trouble outlanding mares and probably knocking him down or out at least once. I would rather see moreno vs mares and I know they would probably keep moreno away from Mares as he is too good. But where does Mares go from here?

You have to remember, Mares got a gift against Darchinyan and was lucky to get the win. He did box pretty well last night but Donaire is a special talent and a top 5 p4p for a reason, he has outboxed or knocked out almost every single one of his opponents and has never been in trouble yet. Mares is a great fighter no doubt but Donaire is one of the best boxers on this planet.

I want to see Donaire vs Nishioka for super bantamweight and if Mares wins vs Moreno(pretty doubtful) then I would like to see Mares vs Donaire.

They have said it before and I will say it again: There is no one up to super bantamweight right now that can beat donaire.

Nonito had trouble finding little Narvaez around the ring and ate so many jabs from WV2.
He hasn't show himself immortal last couple of fights. He is a great boxer,a p4p no doubts, but we haven't seen his dominance yet at 122.I believe he's gonna have some work to do about people with Mares,Rigo and Moreno's mobility and capacity to box and punch.
But we'll never know if he elects to fight Arce or Mijares who will be standing in front of him.

Mares will be overwhelmed when he finally fights someone beyond his league.

Donaire should look to fight Mares, thats going to be a good name for his fight record.. Especially if he wins it by a KO.. :bbb

Donaire would win against Mares with ease.. Mares will absolutely look to win and not to survive.. Mares will just come forward in a straight direction with almost no guard at all.. Mares is open for counter all night long.. Can't see him withstanding the best shots of Nonito.. :hey

Mares plays into Donaire's strengths because his come forward aggression and activity are excellent for a power counter puncher like Donaire to really shine.

    Donaire KO in 3
