The reason i post this thread cause of Freddy very biased towards Mexican fighters. The question i have to him and everybodyelse is which of those 2 fights ( don't give me another fights i didn't mention. Just this 2 fights.) Was really a robbery??

Mares vs Perez was one of the closer fights ive seen in quite some time. I had Mares 7 rounds to 5 but a draw is a good score. There where some rounds where Mares was moving and not punching very effectivly I think those 3-4 rounds are why he doesnt have a title right now. Id love to see a rematch great fight this could headline a Showtime card next time IMO.

I scored Mares vs. Perez a draw. It was close and it would be hard to make a case for Perez winning, but I think a draw is still reasonable. Perez took control in the middle rounds. I had him winning five in a row.

So you saying Chavez vs Whitaker was really a robbery in which Whitaker won that fight?

Exactly what i thought on the fight. As 1 of the commentators said, this rivalry could turn into a marquez-vasquez situation with multiple fights. If theyre anything like last night, I really hope so. :happy

whitaker easily beat chavez. mares and peez was extremely close. so whitaker vs chavez was really a robbery.

No one established themselves as superior in Perez vs. Mares. It's that simple. This was not a robbery. Just a close fight with muddy rounds for scoring.

I had Mares by one point but definetly could see a draw or someone having it for Perez. Definetly not a robbery at all, could've gone either way.

Whitaker-Chavez is one of the big robberies in recent years. I don't recall my exact scoring but I think I gave Chavez 2 rounds. Mares-Perez was a very tight fight, I had it 7-5 for Mares but there were some very close rounds and I gave more of those to Mares than Perez. Anywhere from 7-5 for either fighter is fine. A draw was a solid decision, and will hopefully lead to a rematch.

    Mares/Perez was no robbery.

Unless you had a real hardon for Mares for some reason?
