Out of all the bantam weights, Agbeko probably has the best chance to be competitive or do well against Donaire. He has shown a granite chin so far, and he has that unorthodox kind of herky jerky defensive head movement. He usually isn't there to be hit like damn near every other bantamweight, Montiel, Sydorenko, Mares, Perez, etc.
Abner Mares has a huge heart. Donaire might have to show more than his flashy hooks in this one fight.
Such a shame that Agbeko-Mares isn't taking place. Bantam weight superiority would have been merely one fight away with the winner facing off against Donaire. Not too often do we get scenarios with such a clear path to fruition; which is exactly why I'm so excited for the Khan-Bradley potential showdown.
yea but since vic darchinyan won last night and mares-agbeko has been on hold i wouldn't mind watching donaire vs darchinyan 2

i guess it was too late to get a replacement. Wasn't it just days before the fight when agbeko got hurt? I don't think anybody would step up and fight a beast like mares in just a couple of days of training.
Nonito should move up to 122 or 126, none of the fighters at 118 are a danger to him, he is too big for those kids.
