I know Zab Judah said Cotto doesn't hit hard or as hard as him.. something along those lines.

I think Gomez even said it and look how he turned out

I would be far from surprised if Cotto outboxes Margarito or Just decides to fight on the inside....

What would happen if Cotto comes out southpaw?

Even though I am not a Cotto detractor, the belief he's fine at 147 is a myth.

Zab Judah had his legs wobbling at least three times in their fight and Margarito hits harder.

Margarito has been a pro for almost 15 years, has fought bigger men and some bigger southpaws.

Do you honestly think he'll give a **** whether Cotto boxes southpaw or not?

when most people say "I dnt fear the devil himself" - its almost always cause their trying to convince themselves that they arent afraid. . . judging from the way Margarito walks through punches, Id say he speaks the truth.

I think that although Margarito is so confident and may be overconfident, I think that he is underestimating Cotto more than Cotto is him. Although the advantages in terms of reach, height, and maybe power and stamina goes to Margarito as well as hunger, the intangibles of Cotto being the champ and knowing how much of a threat Margarito is to his title reign will make him very motivated to win this Battle.

We will see once those vicious body shots land from Cotto, and they will land.

He had to resort to low blows to bail him out of the Judah fight, and Mosley did have him backing up after hurting him to the body.

Lots of Floyd fans argue this, the same Floyd fans that picked up Cotto for this fight, infact those same very fans that supported Judah argued that Cotto has a weak chin hits low etc....
However in this fight, somehow they didnt mean those things they said.
Two more ****ing Days and Cotto gets his first trip to the hospital following a beating in front of a packed crowd at MGM

Funny, I could have sworn Mayweather retired undefeated...

As for DLH, what is wrong with moving up a weight class to challenge for the title?

Tsk Tsk I can see Cotto being hated as much as Mayweather... Everyone is making excuses/or criticizing him for his wins. It's sad because Cotto obviously works hard for his fights and to get where he is now. All I can sey is hey! people hate all the time.

I don't think so... Cotto faces anybody management puts in front of him and is humble.

Judah may have said that Cotto doesn't hit as hard as him, but he definately didn't say "Cotto's punches won't do anything to me." That's what we're talking about. Nobody has said that.

Margarito has to remember that Cotto dont punch like him, Cotto actually has dead on accuracy. This is not going to muffled punches just to say you threw 100 a round. Cottos punches will hit the right spots as they always do. That is what makes Cotto a great fighter is b/c of how he disects people Floyd style. Margarito just gets in there and just tries to barrage you against the ropes.
