Margarito and pavlik ???

    quick questions aside from all the bull**** drama...


    both have beat the man in their division, both have moved up and have been beat by really good/great fighters....

    why does margo get so much hate for that, while pavlik gets praised as if the hopkins fight never happened....
    i'm a huge fan of both, but is this clear proof that nationality/racism still and will always play a huge role in this sport.....i mean, i aint blind to see that, but is that the only reason why so many hate on margo, or is it because of all the hype, the mayweather scandal etc etc.....

    i mean, both are fighters that deserve all the respect in the world, but i'm just wondering why the hate :huh

    I'm a fan of both and you're right Margo gets much more hate(mostly from Floyd fans) but the hate he is getting now is his own fault. He cheated, he deserves the hate this time around.

    i understand the situation he's in now, and if guilty **** him....but that doesn't erase what the man has done in the past...which in many eyes aint much, but he does deserve credit.....

    One Margo didn't go up, the fight was at 147. Two, so many assholes on this board have been touting Margarito as the greatest fighter of the decade, and saying he's unstoppable, even though he lost to PW. Three, Margarito was caught using illegal handwrap additives. Other than that, I think its a lot of backlash just because many Margo fans have been such adamant assholes for the past three or four years, second only to calzaghe fans.

    the santos fight was at 154 :huh, so what the hell you talking'bout'willis....

    and i dont think many people have been riding his coatails, it's just that they actually wanted their fighter to fight the best...something that a lot of other fans dont want.....:deal

    It does erase it though in the hearts of many. I will reserve judgment until I hear some official press release, but others will not. And the Margo fanatics on this board brought it on themselves.

    first freddy margo recently got beat by Mosely who came down in weight(was caught trying to load his gloves.)

    KP is still young(26yr) and is expected to have a few stumbling blocks due to inexperience.
    im a big fan of kp but had he been found loading his glove he would be tainted and bashed.

    had margo just lost to mosely all he would recieved was the typicall exposed thread by some but he would be getting respect by all fo going out on his shield.

    thing is he was caught now it's too late no respect for that

    And you cant honestly sit here and tell me that there isnt a handful of people on this board who have been just outrageous with there statements about Margaritos place in boxing.

    yea, Margo didnt move up and with the current contraversy casts a huge shadow. Then add that everyone is talking about how he didnt take the 4mil PW rematch and opted for the "lesser risk" (or so he thought) Mosley fight, i think makes him look worse.

    Fans period! Kelly's fans never said kelly was god or some unbeatable monster. They didn't **** on other boxers in the process as much as Margo fans did. Who bashed Williams, Cotto and PBF fans nonstop. And now you have this cheating thing hanging over Margo and that hurts him as well.

    if you choose to pass judgement without a hearing and trial, then that's on you......i'm talking about before all this mess, margo has been getting heat for about 3 years now....and win , lose or draw, he's fought them all....i mean, dont tell me you only respect fighters with a 0 on their record :-(...losing to mosley is nothing bad at all...mosley is probably the best fighter of my era...

    Margarito has been fighting at 147 or above since 1996 and surely you were referring to Mosley as the great boxer that beat him recently, since when was Santos great? What are you trying to twist?

    mexican or not, i support fighters that i like regardless...
    if you wouldn't be a noob, you would know my fav active fighters are cotto and taylor...

    Iagree. Atleast Kelly went up and got beat by a true ATG no shame in that but Margo lost to a guy like Santos.
