Well than he should fight him again and prove that, because it's no point of saying that constantly and not wanting to avenge the loss. You could be right but you never know sometimes, style make fights.

If you can't see that Martinez would brutally beat Margarito right now and if you can't see that Arum wouldn't stick Margarito in there with him you're ******ed. Martinez started boxing at 20.

The reason he lost is because he was less experience AND because Martinez takes breaks during fights. I thought he was gonna be KO'd vs Williams, but Williams doesn't punch hard enough and sometimes shoeshines. Margarito body punched him and punched with bad intentions, Martinez was getting tired and it was over. Margarito is a very good fighter and people underrate him cause he lost to Pac now and got ktfo by Mosley. Sure he's diminshed now, but that's not the point, they say, he was always a bum. Which is pure bull****, the guy has had a very good career, he's not even close to being a bum. But that's ESB for ya.

I agree, and he doesn't get enough credit for it. One things for sure, if he hit Marg with the same shot he did Williams, Marg won't go down like that, his chin is Titianum. And he might be ruined now because of the savage beating Pac gave him, but I don't by into the excuses that he was well past his prime when Pac got him, cause he sure didn't fight like it last week.

 @ the still of martinez leaning like that.

What is interesting is there isnt that much difference in handspeed where as today there is a huge difference. Martinez there is still alot faster with the body movement but Margo had no problem at all getting to him. Martinez was only slight faster handspeed wise which was surprising.

Basically. All of a sudden, it seems posters here feel Martinez is unbeatable. Today, I agree it's a mismatch. Martinez just emerged on the world class level, so he's fresh as opposed to Margarito who has been on the scene for years now.

You think it was because he had little boxing experience at the time, so it took him a few years to become fluid and have good timing?:think

I think it proves styles make fights and Marg should get credit for the victory. And when you got posters saying Gatti can beat Margarito, than you know it's bad.

Remember Martinez fights with his hands down back then, and still does, he is open for all kinds of punches if you time him.
