It showed you that Mayweather could deal with a pressure fighter, and wasn't concerned up against a dirty fighter and was prepared to do the same.

Granted, Hatton wasn't as big, nor as durable as Margarito, but is better at cutting off the ring effectively rather than just following his opponent.

Floyd would have the ability to potshot from a distance and keep Margarito at range. His stamina wouldn't give way like Cotto's did, either.

He would be outboxed for 12 rounds, with floyd pop shotting him all night.

The fight would exactly like the Baldomir shut out. Completely boring and 1 sided with no knockdowns. Just Margo looking dumb.:patsch

Not any more. Mosely broke Margarito. Not ever going to be the same fighter.

    Because Margarito is a bum?

I see more of a Hatton fight just Margarito is bigger, much better chin, stamina, workrate and power.

Bad example. Hatton gave a spirited performance and actually had Mayweather on his heels for the early rounds. In fact, Hatton laid out a blueprint for beating Mayweather: Constant, relentless, aggressive pressure.

Is Margarito the guy? Not so sure about that one. But Money should STAY AWAY from Paul Wiliams.

BTW, what did Mayweather gain here? I ANYBODY see this fight happening any other way? JMM is a smaller counterpuncher. That combination will NEVER beat mayweather.

When has Margarito fought anybody as quick, intelligent, as good defensively, as accurate, as good a mover around the ring and as consistent at executing a game plan as Floyd?

But your missing out on what im saying! When has Mayweather ever fought a BIG! prime welterweight whos chin cant be broken by a mayweather punch who wont stop coming for him and wont take a step back! What will happen with mayweather? Personally i fink he gets broken similar to Meldrick Taylor and Chavez. But i kno what your saying in that Margo hasnt fought someone who has as greater attributes as floyd.
But styles make fights and Hatton was level with floyd goin into the 6th or 7th round and as documented earlier MArgo is bigger, better, stronger than hatton.

    No he wasn't.

He won the first and fifth round - lost each of the others.
