Margarito beats Mayweather

1. Margarito is not prime, I'd be willing to bet him and his chin are ruined after the punishment he has taken in his last 3 fights.

2. Margarito is definitely no Chavez

3. Hatton was not level with Floyd after 5 or 6 rounds, only Lederman thought that.

I wouldn't say Hatton was on level through 6, but he had significant success backing Floyd up and throwing him off his game early on, setting a pace that clearly made Floyd uncomfortable and forcing the sort of fight that Mayweather seems to despise:

An exciting fight.

At the end of the day, Hatton forced Mayweather to be great, which he is. And it took a balls-to-the wall, brawling crowd-pleaser like Ricky to bring that out of Money. Ricky confirmed Floyd's greatness. But he also showed where he is vulnerable.

Margarito is so slow compared to Mayweather it wouldn't even be that good of a fight. A slow plodder right in front of Mayweather... He'd get killed!!

Remember Floyd ducking and slipping Marquez's punches last night? There would be alot of that. Sure Marg is bigger and stronger but he punches slowly and inaccurately.

Duck, slip, straight right hand counters and get out the side door. A few jabs and lead left hooks peppered in there and Floyd wins 10 rounds to 2. That's how I see it, but hey I'd still watch just to see Marg following him around putting pressure on him all night.

PBF can also clinch and spoil quite well. See how well Mosley did when he met Marg an clinched, as opposed to Cotto who tried boxing going backwards.

 

something about Margarito definitely positively spooked floyd. When Margarito confronted fraud at that Oscar press conference, floyd looked fearful and very uncomfortable. Then when fraud had to answer questions about Margarito he stuttered and stammered and sounded extremely unconvincing.

No doubt whatsoever something about Margarito scared him. It's a fact. And that we will never see this fight despite fraud promising it to Margarito when it made better business sense, speaks volumes.

 

Mayweather vs. Margarito would be a carbon copy of Mosley vs. Margarito. This is coming from a guy who picked Margarito to beat Cotto and Mosley to beat Margarito.

They found the loaded gloves before the the Mosley fight, so when Mosley beat Margarito, Margarito's gloves were not loaded. I'm just sayin.

i'm not a floyd fan, but he'd shut out margarito. He'd just do what cotto did for the first half of the fight,but his better stamina, movement and ring savy should see him through.

Margarito is a tomato can, end of story. Zombie speed, one-dimensional, zero leg movement, doesn't know how to cut off the ring, not a big puncher, can be countered easier than countering a heavy bag, has no plan B and will never have, zero skills and VERY predictable. The man has six losses with zero avenged, when Mayweather had a close fight with Castillo, despite winning, IMMEDIATELY made a rematch to shut people up completely. Margarito loses and literally runs from rematches even though the guys that beat him are the ones offering him a chance to avenge his loss.

A highly skilled fighter like Mayweather who can make him miss and out point his ass for full 12 is not someone to get broken down by that kind of crappy one-dimensional aggression. We told this to the MANY ******s here before but no one wanted to listen. Give him someone with no defense and smaller like Cotto and of course he will shine and land predictable punches all night.
