Margarito would have slaughtered the 2010 version of Shane Mosley. I seriously think Mosley last year was on EPO or something. He looked like the second coming of henry Armstrong vs. Margarito after weak performances vs. Mayorga and Vargas. Mosley looked ordinary also vs. Mora.

If Margarito fought the recent Mosley in Dallas he would have ate him alive.

I would like to see themedia do an investigation of the drug testing of Mosley before the Margarito fight at Staples Center. No dissrepect on Sugar Shane but that performance compared to all his other recent outings was highly suspicious.

Mosley has good handspeed and is also heavy handed.

He simply beat the **** out of the slow and ponderous Margarito by beating him to the punch everytime. Add that to the fact that Marg knew he couldn't win without his weapon in his gloves.

I like Margarito but in this case and in the case of Margarito-Pacquiao, styles make fights!

Mosley tied him up and blasted him from the inside, Pacquiao picked him off and peppered him, giving him leather burns a la Cotto.

My view is Mosley was not bothered about fighting Mayorga, a past it slugger. With Margarito, however, he was up against the welterweight champion. Motivation is a likelier cause than performance enhancers.

    Ive changed my mind.

    I actually agree...

Mosley is shot, and those ripping body blows by margo would have been landing a hell lot more than in the pacquiao fight. The only chance Mosley has is to land that big right hand a couple times. His speed isnt what it was since early 2009, mosley has appeared slow with his punches and on his feet against floyd and mora

mora is pretty slick and bigger and mayroga was 170 that night against mosley. Shane hits harder than pac therefore he got a ko but Margarito is just an average fighter. Pac being so much smaller makes it impressive.

Mosely is shot, 6 months after Mayweather beat the crap out of him. What a shock,

So Margarito is shot for this fight with Pacquiao?

He's lost twice in 3 fights

Man, this guys the most obsessed fool I've ever met.

He devotes his life to trolling Mayweather. Probably because of some homo-erotic dream he had about Floyd, Manny, himself, a cucumber, and a melon.

This is the raving mad pacland response to the fact that Mayweather has outclassed a guy who outclassed the guy who manny just beat.

Which probably means that Floyd is a different class to Margarito,Mosely, and in truth anyone who's beaten either

Every Pacquiao performance has looked highly suspicious since he hooked up with Ariza

For the record, your just showing how you've probably only watched boxing from the day De la Hoya quit against Pacquiao.

Styles make fights. Mosely's spent a career beating the crap out of brawlers, and struggling with guys with a bit more skill.

Look at the Margarito fight as an example. Mosely stunk it up at 154, in the fight rigjht before.

He only beat Mayorga at 154, with a last minute KO. He was behind on all cards going into the last.

He went from that to destroying Margarito at 147. Like 3 months earlier.

    Very simple reasons:

1: Shane stinks at 154. Always has. Even at his very very best

2: Shane stinks even more against heavy, tall opponents

3: Shane has very heavy hands, and a hall of fame chin. There isn't a fighter on the planet who could trade with him for 12 rounds. I include Pacquiao in that

Shane's an easy fight for Mayweather or Winky Wright. Tough for Pacquiao or margarito.

    Why? Styles make fights

If you're easy to hit, he hits very hard....................

Blows he nearly KO'd Floyd with, he'd land 5x as many on Pacquiao

If Mosley could go back in time and be in that explosive condition he was in vs. Margarito I think he could KO everyone at 147, pac, floyd, williams, cotto included. that was one of the best performances of the decade Shane put on vs. Margarito. I think he might have had some help.
