so didn't an old mosley for 9 rounds and the first 8 as mosley would hit margarito he would smile at mosley as if to say you can't hurt me then in the ninth round when he got knocked down the first time he was smiling as he was getting up then we saw what happened. so who is to say when they first met that if plaster didn't slow cotto down that he would have done the same during the final rounds

Because Capetiello took the full blame to save Margo's career. Margo was able to claim he knew nothing... So they could not throw the book at him. ALSO, because he was caught before actually harming Shane with them IN THE RING, on a technicality, he was not guilty of using them in the fight...

So yeah, he got a slap on the wrist and Capetiello took all the heat.

 

Yep, and the truth is.. Mosley showed that when Tony is smiling and acting badass, you can't take his word for it...You gotta punch him in the face for smiling repeatedly and he will fall.

Margarito is smart and is trying to convince Cotto that he cannot hurt him. It's what your supposed to do to your opponent to make him doubt himself in the ring. Cotto will hurt him though. Margarito is a hater and did not want to give Cotto, Shane or Pac credit. He ACTUALLY SAID in an interview that Clottey was the strongest guy he faced... I was expecting him to say Shane at least but he is a hater and did not want to give Shane his props for KOing his ass.

You see how his mind works? He is trying to pretend that Shane only knocked him out cause he was drained etc... This is why he chose the name Clottey during interview, so as to make an excuse for the Shane loss. Margarito is not an honest guy at least not with himself.

When he smiles, you gotta keep punching him... he likes to smile right before he gets KTFO. Ask Shane...

He's not a liar,he's a lovely guy who's just been the victim of unfortunate circumstances.
He was set up by his trainer before fighting a known drugs cheat and another who won't take the test that has Las Vegas judges in his pocket too.
How can the poor guy be expected to fight with all these horrible thing getting said about him?
If it goes to the scorecards the result should be reviewed immediately under similar provisions to those which state a person can't get a fair trial because of negative press.
It's OK if he gets the nod though,forget all that review stuff.
What a barbaric,vengeful society we've become.
They should forget the fight and go on Jerry Springer to settle this like adults.

There is something else that is not really brought up much but has been in a couple of interviews I have seen from Antonio and that's that he had already committed to "retiring" following the Pacquaio battering. He said that his eye was so bad that he informed his manager to "contact Bob and tell him I'm retiring". It was only when Bob Arum himself got "his doctors" to put the glass eye lens, do the catarct surgery, etc. all paid for by Bob, and gave him the "ok" to continue that he decided to "unretire".

 

I think he's trying to say that Margo is lying by saying that he wouldn't fight Cotto with an eye injury, because he continued to fight against Pac after his eye got hurt.

Of course, all this ignores that stepping through the ropes with an injury, and picking one up during a fight are two totally different scenarios.

 

Because it makes Arum money.

 

At least 90% of the controversy that surrounds Margarito is manufactured bull****. For about two years I have been trying to get you people to read and comprehend Nevada rules and procedures. They make it nearly impossible to do anything flaky with hand wraps, but very few ESB posters care about facts.

It is a fact that when Tony lands on Miguel it will hurt and cause damage exactly like it did in the first fight. It might be even worse because the added weight is a HUGE advantage for Margarito. The deciding factor in this fight will be Cotto's response to the realization that Margo is just as dangerous as he was the first time out.

Cotto is obsessed with the hand wrap accusations. I hope for his sake that he does not believe that different hand wraps will make up for the deficiencies he showed in the first fight.
