I think he has a great chance to win just like Torres at 140 I just think at that time Cotto was more experienced in championship fights than Torres. Does Cotto punches harder than Santos,Cintron,Williams no, and yeah Cotto fought Mosley but an older version less active than the Shane before he lost to Forrest? Cotto is the better boxer alot of fighters probably all were a bit better in the boxing category. I think this will be a war and Cotto wouldn't be able to get on his bicycle like he did against Mosley, Shane in my opinion was a counter puncher who through combinations in bunches not really a pressure fighter Margarito will give Cotto serious problems watch and see. Cotto has had his PPV marquee fights in Mosley and Judah and Margarito is hungry for that same opponent and he has it in Cotto and don't be susprise how great he will fight that night he won't let Cotto off the hook like Torres and Corley I am not predicting a knockout just a great performance by Margarito!

As I said before I'm fully confident that Margarito will land more power punches in the first 3 rounds than both Zab Judah and Shane Mosley landed in 23 rounds.

Cotto knows what he's in for, his fans don't quite seem to grasp it yet.

I agree, I believe Margarito will come out like an volcanic explosion. If Margarito doesnt KO Cotto within the first 4 rounds, its over for Margarito. I have Miguel Cotto via TKO 11th! Cotto is not coming to box, he is coming for War! He has said this several times and people dont grasp it. People think it will be a walk in the park but it wont.

lets not aim @the fans here but the fighters(that is what the thread is about!)cotto is the better boxer/marg bigger fighter..marg has only fought one way his entire career..cotto has shown different skills more throughout..marg's only chance is to brawl..cotto knows this..margs chances are lesser!

He won't have any choice. There are two points being made here; 1) Judah and Mosley landed very few power shots over the full course of those contests, 2) Cotto does not ACTUALLY have the mobility and defensive inclination or ability to avoid a full on onslaught. Hopefully he can withstand it.

    Intelligence? LOL

Every boxing guy whose gone on record to talk about this fight has said something to the affect of "tell the judges to pack it up and go home cause this one's not going the distance" Well if thats the case. And thats what most people believe then my question is who is the more likely to get knocked out Cotto or Margarito?

    My vote: Cotto.

cotto does have much quicker foot movement so he actually will get out of the onslaught leaving marg punching mostly air.

Not mobile enough. Enough. Not nearly. Not even close.

    We'll see who's sleeping on the 26th.

they're just hyping the public to buy this fight thats all! yes there will be fireworks but thats up to the fighters.they can each choose to go full 12rounds in the case where cotto would win by wide margin!
