The stoppage was in the 11th, where even then Miguel was still winning rounds. He broke him down on VOLUME, not single power damaging shots which strangely enough didnt become damaging until after the 6th. Its not like he landed a huge damaging shot, everything he was firing was constantly at the same intensity. Miguel did gas on the second half of the fight tho.

I do not disagree, and I'm not sayin' It was one shot that did Miguel in. I'm saying that if Miguel thinks Margo was loaded the first time and feels the punches to be just as hard ( not that it's one devastating shot ) he might realize, " ay coño, este carajo tiene la misma pegada!" and will start doubting himself. He might make the same mistakes as the first fight and not sit on his shots.

I don't think Cotto's putting all his eggs in the "he cheated" basket. Personally, I think that he brought it up to see what Margarito would say, how he'd react, and maybe get inside his head a little bit.

Throughout the whole exchange, Miguel seemed very calm.

I see what you're saying, although that was the first and last time he actually inflicted that much damage on anyone(to include that cab driver he fought in mexico) LMAO @ " ay coño, este carajo tiene la misma pegada!":rofl

He also said he gassed out and thats why he was broken down. He knows he made mistakes in that fight and that even if in fact marg was loaded that would only be one out of many factors that played into the stoppage.

    :deal Exactly.

Cotto better not be pinning his hopes on that because as soon as he feels one hard punch from Margo he'll panic and revert to fighting the way he fought in their first encounter.

I don't think Margo used loaded gloves in their first fight, it was more his ability to take everything Cotto threw at him and keep coming that broke Cotto down mentally.

As for Cotto gassing early? Well, he continually uses that as an excuse in the face off, yet says he always comes to the ring prepared. He has issues with stamina that I don't think he has been able to improve since, so we'll see how things unfold once Margo starts walking him down again.

In regards to how cut up Cotto's face was after the first fight - look at the state of his face after the Pac fight - he cuts and swells up easily, that's no indication of whether or not loaded gloves were used.

And you clowns continually saying Margo had bricks in his gloves need to get your hands off it - the evidence identified a substance that had some of the elements that are found in plaster of paris, as well as some handcreams. Margo was suspended because he was using old wraps, not because it was proven he was using wraps loaded with plaster of paris - otherwise it's likely he would have been banned for life.

Margarito actually caused a fair bit of damage to Pacquiao, each round was a Pacquiao round, but Margarito hur him to the body and bruised him up quite badly given he only had one eye for 12 rounds!

Also knocked Garcia down in the very 1st round, though this fight is not very relevant due to length of time off and his trainer was constantly telling him to get the rounds in.

As for not hurting Cotto till later in their first fight, I remember Margarito catching Cotto in the 2nd or 3rd round with an uppercut (I think) that caused bleeding. It's not like Margarito couldn't hurt Miguel until the later stages, the damage was done early, the last few rounds was simply finishing the job.

Miguel is going to have to go toe to toe and just outbox Margarito similar to how Floyd beat Mosley, his stamina is to low to fight going backwards or dancing around the ring like he did in the first fight and against Pacquiao.
