I was a big Margarito fan for several years, well before Cotto 1,however if he told me tomorrow is Sunday I'd check the calendar first.Despite my willingness to see Jr tested,I'm hoping Bandito takes on Mayorga next. And would it even be a test now? Tony's juices look to have dried up.

margs vs mayorga would be a fan friendly . i would want 2 see that margs has alot 2 prove if he wants to continue his career in the ring and this can prove alot if he can mayorga outta there . or just win a fight which he hasnt done in a while or i think he beat a bum at 154 before the pac fight but he hasnt a legit win in a while .

This is what I dont understand aside from this guy getting another possible title shot. Why not fight Rubio if he wins against Chavez?

If you're able to draw a crowd or make a fight an appealing one, whether it's right or wrong, you'll always get your shots. Not that I agree with it, but, Chavez Jr vs Margo is a huge money fight - especially if it takes place in Mexico.

Absolutely. I can't understand why people would be baffled at this fight. It may not be brilliant matchmaking for hardcore fans like us but it will garner massive attention in Mexico, which is all that matters. If Margarito wins, he becomes a bigger name and if JCC Jr. wins then he becomes a genuine star.

Fights like these are essential for making stars in boxing. They may not always be great but they do serve an excellent purpose.

As for the fight, I think Margarito would pose quite a few questions.

Arum knows he sells fights, a win over margo will propel chavez jr without being too big a risk. It looks good on paper but chavez will batter him.

Margo has no defense and depends on being bigger than the other guy, he has gotten his ass beat a lot lately and his eye is all ****ed up and gets reinjured easily. Chavez is younger and stronger and weighs nearly 180.

Ahh, the benefits of in house matchmaking. JCC Jr is supposed to win and this would move him towards being the future cash cow, but just in case youre wrong and that doesnt happen, you still got the winner. You really cant loose.

And Pavlik reportedly walking around at 175....

Still don't see this fight happening. Rubio and then Martinez. Not sure the WBC can let this fight not happen again.
