Margarito cleared of wrong doing in July 2008 victory over Cotto

    NEW YORK -- While he awaits the results of a California State Athletic Commission investigation into whether he attempted to pack his taped hands with an illegal substance before his WBA welterweight title fight against Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito has been officially cleared of any wrongdoing in his July 2008 win over former welterweight champion Miguel Cotto.

    The results of the California investigation are expected to be announced this week.

    How can they clear him of wrong doing months after the fight? The ONLY way we will know if Margarito loaded his gloves in the past is if the person wrapping his hands comes forth and says so.

    What we do know is that he was caught before the Mosley fight.

    like i said ..they're gonna cover the **** up ..vegas is the first to do so ..it's only a matter of time for the rest to do so...NO justice will be found

    If he is gulity of attempting to use the illegal substance against shane then he could have very well used it against cotto.

    They most likely wouldn't have noticed **** for the Mosley fight either if it wasn't for Nazim :deal

    Damn commission guy had already signed off on ONE loaded glove already...

    If they're not gonna reverse it...Cotto NEEDS to avenge the loss.

    Good. I would have hated for Cotto to take a beating like that when it wasn't legit. I'm glad Marg is cleared though.

    How do they know this when it happened last summer? There is no way to know unless Margarito and his team confess that they have used the plaster they found before the Mosley fight in other fights as well.

    ****k it we'll find out come fight night of cotto-margarito II if he did or didn't cheat.....and if he did then they just lengthened margoes career by a few months, because after Cotto exposes his fraud ass for the cheat that he is I can guarentee he'll never headline another main event again

    This doesn't mean he didn't. The only thing it proves is that is too late to say anything about it and impossible to prove. But think about it...... If he tried to cheat against a man who lost against Cotto and didn't look so good during his last fight........Do you think he would cheat agains a man who was undefeated and with a fame of being a hard puncher???????????????????????????????????????

    Impossible to prove, but the doubt will always be there
