Nothing since 2006 can top this fight. What a magnificent performance from Margarito. Who took an undefeated 27 year old Cotto and make him quit on his knees during the middle of the 11th round.

Taking out the frustrations of a long and hard and disrespected 15 year career. And hammering the hell out of that sissy Miguel Cotto.

There could be no running. Because on that night Margarito was possessed with a fury that has rarely been seen before. Showing an unbelievable and hard to believe workrate, heart and chin.

He couldn't be stopped. He never ran out of energy. And that moment of Margarito jogging from corner to corner prompting Miguel Cotto to take a knee and hide is the most boss thing you will ever see.

You do know that Marquez vs Vazquez III was in 2008 and Marquez vs Pacquiao IV was in 2012 right? So in terms of action and excitement it couldn't possibly beat the former and in terms of skill and elite caliber fighters it couldn't possibly beat the latter.

Margarito was a better welterweight than Marquez.

Now you have gone too far. That one dimensional piece of trash is nothing more than a coked up cheater that was nothing without that plastic wrap around his hands. He had a great jaw and a small brain which got him nowhere near the status of Juan Manuel Marquez.
His best fights where possibly the worst cheats since Panama Lewis and Luis Resto.

Look at the warrior without the wraps. Mosley destroyed him.

Neither him or pac are great welterweights especially Marquez. So how was the 4th fight contested at the highest level then?

They weren't real welterweights, but they were still elite talents. You might've missed this:

I'm aware they were great Featherweights. The 4th fight was not contested at the highest level. Which is my point. The highest level features great fighters at the weight the fight takes place at.

I can never understand why ppl hate on Cotto (prior to his middleweight run), he fought near enough everyone! he is by far one of the most exciting fighters of this generation, his style is likeable, fluent and devastating. Considering he was once a lightweight! Yes Marg got the better of him on the night (probably cheated but whatever!) but look how he came back! he ended up the middle weight champ and bossed Martinez from rnd 1!!! where's Marg now???? never had a champions heart and never recovered from the absolute @ss whooping Pac gave him!
