    I agree with Margarito.

I mean look at who Margarito's two recent losses were to. Daniel Santos (170lbs) and Paul Williams. Two guys who although inconsistent, are probably tougher than Cotto on their best days.

    Those were harder fights imo.

If Cotto were a little bigger I'd say this would be the toughest fight. But I really do think size will be a factor here. Margarito is as thick as he is tall.

well that dosent surprise me at all, that he says that...i would have been surprised if he had said.:this one will be the toughest fight, and i think i will loose on KO...
but when cotto is in the ring with him....ANYTHING can happen!!
    i think cotto wins.

On the flipside of this you have Team Cotto being fairly vocal at every juncture of this promotion that this will be their toughest fight. They feel quite the opposite.

If Cotto wants to win this fight, he'll have to box Margarito from round 1 to 12, pull a Mayweather on a unicycle. Margarito throws many punches per round and Cotto hasn't faced such an output against any credible opponent, with such size and strength on top of that.

Margarito's toughest fight was against Santos because he wasn't the bigger guy in there and he was slower on top of that...

I can easily see Cotto being overwhelmed by a bigger guy that he can't really hurt effectively and that just keeps coming non stop...

I'm glad he's underestimating Cotto, that makes me even more certain. I'm still putting money on a 1st round TKO/KO win for Cotto.

It's statements like this that make me feel down inside will motivate Cotto and thus allow him to remain the champion the morning of July 27th. Cotto's camp have not underestimated Margarito and this will make Cotto more than ready for what Margarito is going to throw at him. Plus, Margarito also told Cotto to train very hard for this fight. Miguel's response? Well, he doesn't need to do that because he does it for every fight. I wonder who will be more prepared from what I described.
