I saw the pic, I say the only way Margo loses if he lost focus, we will have to see.

I agree.....Cotto has the skills to outbox Marg....but I don't think his power is enough to keep Marg honest long enough to rally any "Meaningful" offense to give him a real chance. Not to mention I feel Cotto won't ever shake the kind of PR PRIDE that seems to be in his DNA. Once he feels Marg's punches his blood boils and common sense is out the window....Cotto ends up trading with Marg and again that will be his demise. Marg will wear Cotto down and out in Similar fashion IF Cotto can't keep to boxing. Floyd without a doubt has Margs Style in check....As does Marg has Cotto's.

Cotto can't beat Margo. He's too small and will never be able to stand up to Margo's attack he doesn't have the defense, stamina or chin to do it. Cotto needs to try and fight guys like Berto or Clottey and Margo needs to fight Williams period.

The pace that Marg set where Cotto HAD to continually MOVE, Counter and dip took a lot out of him. Plus when ever Cotto decided to go toe to toe with Marg it was clear as day that Margs punches were more damaging and a lot heavier. By round 7 or 8 you could really tell that Cotto was mentally deteriorating as well as physically.

The fact that NOTHING Cotto threw at Marg did any kind of meaninful damage, despite how well he was controling the ACTION (not the pace) had Cotto thinking more and reacting less....and when you mentally go in a fight your oppoent picks up on that, gets stronger and Physically you begin to break down which is what happened to Cotto.

I think Pimp C is right, Cotto is too small and doesn't have enough power to get margo's respect.

I guess Margo is consistant though, I guess this is the reason he doesn't want to fight Paul again.

It's a bad match up for Cotto, again. A bad match-up for Cotto once is a bad match-up for Cotto always. The first match was not lost because of a bad decision, nor was it due to bad preparations, because of an injury, or because of a lucky punch, it was because one guy beat the living will out of the other. It was a fight while it lasted but ended with one guy asking for mercy on his knee. It was a very symbolic ending, which brings forth questions of how Cotto will react when he has to bear yet again the same burden that caused him to give up his soul in that ring. Perhaps he didn't give up his soul in there, maybe it was just taken.

Exactly. Margo knows he can't use his size to impose his will on Williams so he's reluctant to take the rematch. Not only that he's also facing a guy who has just as good stamina who can outwork him and beat him at his own game. Add to that Paul is improving and his confidence is sky high Paul Williams gives Margo nightmares.:yep

    Cotto can start by ...
    a. lowering his punch output to conserve stamina.
    b. don't get cought in the corners.
    c. don't hang around on the ropes, keep Margarito in the center and instead move around him.

Cotto showed in their first fight that he could do it, but he didn't show the mental dicipline to do it for all 12 rounds. The loss can be a learning experiance for him and the desire for his belt back could give him some extra incentive to "do what ever it takes".
Or he could do a Cintron and try to "prove" something <- mistake.

Yea, he was winning the first 6 rounds. I had it 5-1 cotto, and my guess is many people scored it the same way.
