Margarito destroyed Martinez a forgotten fight

    This was that other incredible G performance by Margarito. Lots of people forget about it. Actually if you look at Margarito before he ran into steroid and EPO Shane he was savaging almost the entire Welterweight division. And even then it took about 500 roid nukes to put him down. Incredible chin. Shame he was cheated out his prime. Ironically he's the one who was cheated out of his prime despite false accusations that he did the same to Cotto.

    Very underrated fighter and ducked by lots of guys who didn't want the Tony beatdown.

    Everybody should rewatch his beatdown of Martinez.

    Pretty silly to suggest that he wasn't in a green and vulnerable state at that point.... Late start and only 5 years as a boxer amateur and pro. That was his first fight outside of his native Argentina and he had been feasting on domestic level opposition before being thrust into a fight with a tough and more experienced operator in Margarito, too much too soon.

    yes you're 'right' he would find his stride and full potential later on.

    What Margarito did before he got busted is irrelevant. His career record is 2 wins and 2 losses.

    Actually Shane got rid of him with far less punches than Pac hit Margarito with in 12 rounds.

    I've never been too big on Sergio relative to the hype, he was a good but overrated fighter, but he was inexperienced at this time and improved a lot afterwards. He was a late bloomer.

    Prime Sergio would have torn Margarito's face off, and I say that as a huge defender and fan of Margarito.

    Floyd is the GOAT at 130, his excellent matchmaking skills...helped him cruise into 154 like a Super Mario perfect game, pure genius by him/his team. Outside a fighters natural weight, anything is fair play...nothing to be a shame off :smoke

    Margarito was always a problem, an iron chinned warrior that went over 1000 punches a a fight

    * 99% fighters use PEDs
    * Handwraps that need 1000 punches to do damage are as good as sponge pads
