Margarito fought better quality opposition than Mayweather.

If Margarito never cheated would he of ever got those fights?

 

I would fully agree if we're just talking resumes. Margarito has balls, Mayweather doesn't. Mayweather has skill that Margarito doesn't.

 

BS. They fought the same Mosley. One won handily, the other got KOed.

DLH is much more skilled and accomplished fighter than Paul Williams could ever dream of being.

Baldmir was the lineal champ when Mayweather fought him.

Martinez was green and wasn't considered a world class fighter at the time.

 

Cotto Margarito Clottey - In reality there is nobody that can go back to back to back beating up those 3 guys like that while showing speed, angles + chin, ring smarts. Even a SRL could have more problems with those 3.

Let me just say this though...p4p is NOT an actual science. p4p is saying that if two fighters were the same size, who would beat who. So I rate Floyd based on talent mostly, because I know he has ATG talent with him (that's why he wins all the fantasy fights on here ). Too bad he doesn't want to prove himself.

1) They want him to fight "Fighter A".
2) Fighter A will kill him, and Floyd is ducking.
3)Floyd fights and schools Fighter A
4) Fighter A was overrated, overhyped, shot, never had a chance, cherrypicked etc......

But Fighter B!!!!!.......and the cycle continues.

 

I really disagree. Real fight fans wanted him to fight somebody dangerous for a long time. It never spilled over to the general public until mainstream people and the help of the internet were able to investigate a little bit and see the zero was not as special as before.
when all said and done too many of the fighters that ended up being great in his era he never faced. Not one or two or three but more like 8-10. too many to be a coincidence.
u gotta look at it from the outside not being a Floyd fan and think about the guys he missed and who they beat
