Margarito gave Clottey a Legit loss! No excuses

    He did not broke his hand it's just a myth. Did he spran it or something? Probably but that was probably from trying to block Margarito's offensive assault (Margarito set the compubox record on Clottey. That was probably the reason for the sprain.

    Here is fact about this fight which people conveniently forget. Margarito was coming off a long lay off and actually had an ankle injuries and their was rumors off actually postponing the fight. Regardless a fight is not won in 4 rounds it's 12 rounds of boxing. Margarito outworked Clottey and would do the same in rematch only this time Margarito might beat him up more since he will be 100%.Either way Clottey does not have enough offense to beat Margaritos work rate.

    Margarito will win on the cards just by throwing 100+ punches per round and their is nothing Clottey can do, other than put his hands up and block and then cry that it's hurt! Hey no **** dumb ass if your going to block that many punches in your shell defense your bound to hurt your hand lol. Even yesterday in the Judah fight you can see Judah outworking him in some of the rounds by just throwing thru his shell defense. The difference is Margarito can do that for 12 rounds and has better defense,stamina,chin,power,height,heart ect.

    So in closing 1 fighter fought thru rust and an ankle injurie (Margarito and the other(Clottey) cried about a sprain hand which Margarito caused due to his workrate as noted above) Margarito's heart >> Clottey's nuff said.

    Yeah Margarito beat him fair and square. However, I would like to c a rematch. Clottey has a belt now and they could unify the belts like spinks did.

    Clottey is a sissy and was whining about a bruised knuckle and wanted to quit. He's lucky his trainers wouldn't let him or he would have looked worse than Cintron 1. I think if they fight again Margo will attempt to break his own compubox record of 1675 punches on the stationary Clottey.

    He sprained his ankle before the fight but fought anyway not knowing how awkward Clottey was. To make matters worse he had a virtual 20 month layoff with only a Gomez fight in between that lasted less than 2minutes and inactivity is a fighters' worst enemy.

    Don't see why you brung that up. I didn't say Clottey lost because of it, I'm just mentioning that he broke his hand when the author said he only sprained it or whatever.

    All fighters suffer injuries before AND after the actual fight. Clottey is just using his as an excuse. He also forgets to mention he got tired and was mentally shaken by the non-stop punching machine that is Margarito. Arturo Gatti used to brake his hand every damn fight and he still threw it.

    I thought it was a draw personally. But I dont think He can do anything much better a second time. He would probably either actually get a draw in a rematch or lose another close decision.

    Exactly right. Nobody at welter currently has the conditioning that Margarito brings to the table. Congratulations goes out to Clottey but if this fight gets signed he'll be handing that IBF crown right over to Tony.

    You wanna rethink that? Somehow I remember him being GASSED in the 12th round of the fight where he got his ass whipped! And I remember a certain opponent dancing around him in the 12th tatooing his ass!

    No excuses for Clottey in the loss. Cool.
    No excuses for Margarito in his loss. Cool?
