    hey baby.

You know full well that he has been weighing in at that weight on fight night since his days as a super featherweight.

Yeah he was inactive for over a year and prior to that got mauled over and brutally discharged.

What weight was he when he made his un fulfilled comeback against the top 5 ranked fighter in the world?.

That last sentence, yes i believe he was but the guy has been in the sauna and an fighter who consistently wears a sweatsuit while running and gym training/ sparring is struggling to make weight.

He is probably wearing the sweatsuit while in the sauna.

You will see how gaunt he looks at the weigh inn mate.

His eyes will be bagged and his brain fried and tired like an egg.

Since feather/super-feather he's been weighing in at 141-142 or so. Now he's weighing in at 149/150 for welterweight fights. He was 149 for DLH, and I believe 149½ for Cotto.

For Clottey, I believe Ariza had him come in a little heavier, so he might have been around 152/153 on Fight Night, and that's extra manufactured weight on top, not true natural weight.

So coming in at his more natural weights, he weighs in the late 140's still for 147lb fights. As I said, natural welterweights do not. Natural welterweights hit the late 150's, like Cotto. The likes of Mosley and Clottey hit 160 for welterweight fight's on Fight Night.

Margarito will sweat his ass off to make 150, but he'll just re-hydrate, drink lots of fluid and will be at a decent weight come his entry to the ring.

I believe that he'll come in what he's comfortable with and pay the fine. He already knows what happens when you lose the fight on the scales(Mosely).

I'm really getting sick of Manny's camp. Look how giddy Ariza when he believes that Margo is having a hard time making the catch-weight. I have nothing against Paq, but I do want to see him get smashed to see them(Roach/Ariza) get spit in the face.

It's like these guys don't play by the rules. I hope Margo comes in at 152-153 and tells them to **** off.

    So he's actually underweight? Interesting.

I think Ariza's comments were off. Every fighter has his own methods and this is the way Margarito is. In all the time I've followed him, he's been similar, so I doubted he'd be drained because he was wearing a sweatsuit or running late. There's been boxers who ran on the day of the fight because it suited them, whereas some sleep. Margarito just looks like a beast and I'm sure these comments are mind games.

Simply just no, you're assuming and generalising as usual.

Mayweather is natural welterweight and comes in on the button, and so do many other fighters, pac doesnt want to gain to much fight night as he would become sluggish and that would degrade his ability to fight as effective as he can.

They must be going for a bit of extra speed, surely? This weigh-in is gonna be interesting. What time is 6pm EST in GMT? (Or what time is it now EST?)

That seems a little light to me, but if he can get down to 148--that probably means they had no problems getting down below 150....

I would be worried if he looks gaunt and just barely makes 150...We will see we got the weigh-in coming up....If he rehydrates close or above 170 ala Pavlik against Martinez, then we know he had problems making weight...

What do you mean generalizing? You do know that practically all fighters walk around at a higher weight than they fight at?

There is no way that Mayweather gains only a lb on fight night. He probably puts on a good half a stone.

That said, Floyd is a gym freak and actually one of the smaller welterweights. So is Berto, yet he still weighs in above 155 on Fight Night I'm guessing.

See, you've just contradicted yourself completely. Pac gained a lot for fight night at 126/130 and he didn't look sluggish, did he? So why wouldn't he do it for welterweight and gain weight on fight night?

Because he isn't a natural welterweight, and because if he was, he'd be weighing in at what the other natural welterweights do, which is normally mid-to-late 150's, and then he'd look sluggish, because he wouldn't hold the weight well.
