Tony doesnt need to fight this man, The WBOgus is a meaningless belt, and Williams does not have a name for himself yet nor does he sell out arenas or do big PPV numbers, there for **** Paul Williams he is on hold for now.

 

The WBogus is the same title that Marg held and cherished for all those years in the shadow of the WW division. Now its meaningless? Didnt Paul beat Marg for that same belt?

I myself dont recognise the WBO but Marg clearly does so the statement you have made isnt valid

And the reasons you all came up with for Floyd ducking the man is because he has a meaningless title correct? Okay then now we are on the same page, Yes Tony held that title but it didnt get him the fights he has got now, and since lossing he has won both the IBF and WBA later stripped by the IBF which he will regain when he fights Clottey for it.
My point is you all made a big issue out of that belt being meaningless you also said Tony doesnt sell tickets you also said that he doesnt headline HBO cards well, Paul doesnt do any of that himself even though he did beat Tony he still doesnt while right Now Tony is clearly in the drivers seat and can do a little cherry pickin himself.

 

The IMO is meaningless. Its not recognised by the IBOF. Is this a Floyd thread? Anyway your whole post is doesnt hold any weight because Tony fought Paul and lost to him. The belt doesnt matter at this point because Paul beat him already.

 

Even if you want to argue he's not the best at the moment (and arguments are legit), he's still the hottest WW out there. He's also paid more dues then Cotto or Williams did.

His fight w/ Williams was close enough and if everyone can be honest for a sec, they can see he has defeated higher ranked WW's then Williams has, and lost to higher ranked WW's then Williams has. Those need to be taken into consideration. While he did avenge his loss, he was still thoroughly outboxed by Quintana. As a matter of fact, Williams lost more clearly to Quintana whenmargarito did to williams.

Anyway, the DLH and Mayweather fanboys will continue to cry and *****..INSISTING Margarito fight Williams next (everyone gets gimme or money fights but him huh?), but he will fight him again. That's basically a gaurantee.

 

Please tel me you do know that belts are made LEGIT by the fighter. Even if it is a WBO belt. That doesn't mean any WBO champ is on par with the others, but a fighter can legitimize the belt with wins.

That's what Margarito did beating sveral top ten ranked WW's while WBO champ. What has Williams done with hias reign as of today?

Margarito vs Williams II needs to happen. He just can't pretend like the fight never happend.

As for the Cotto fight, Kenny Bayless you were terrible. He shouldn't allowed anywhere near a ring.

2. Who BEAT a higher ranked fighter since?

Did you read what i was responding to? Obviously not. Bazzoka said something about Paul having the Wbogus title(the one he beat Marg for) and marg not having to fight him because he holds that title and that he is going after more credible IBF belt. HE said the title is meaningless. I then stated that Marg held that same title for a long time and Pw took it from him.
