It can happen and have happened to far greater fighters than Cotto, this is boxing, anything is possible if the right punch connects.
:think I sometimes wonder what genre of fight fan will not only support Margo but actually come up with some sort of logical rationale that will convince them to believe Margo will destroy Cotto. Let's look past the obvious physical advantages Margo holds and then start a legitimate comparision.....after analyzing this fight on numerous occassions the only way I see Margo winning this battle is if he somehow finds a home on Cotto's chin that Cotto cannot recover from. I'm leaning on around 75% for a Cotto TKO and 85% for a Cotto UD. I'm sorry but in my humble opinion Cotto is just to many levels above Mr. Margo.
words are only words....I dont think cotto will loose by ko before round 4... what i do belive is that margarito is going to have the thoughest fight in he´s life... i think it will be a WAR ....with cotto as the winner!!! but as i have said before,i think i could be one of the best fights in this year... it´s great for boxing, that these two FIGHTERS will face each other.. I CAN´T WAIT!!!
It's AMs only hope. He WILL NOT outpoint Cotto. I favor Cotto by UD or late TKO but there's always the chance that he could get sparked in 4. I think Cotto's too smart for that, let's hope his courage & bravado don't cloud his better judgement though.
If Marg tries to take Cotto out in 4, he is going to end up punching himself out. If that happens, Marg can plan on going home early come fight night.
I would have to think Margarito would outlast Cotto. Margarito has a great chin, and a lot of heart. Cotto would be hurt frequently.
Whatever happens, Margarito will be there until the 12th round unless of course he stops Miguel beforehand.
Now, you know he is just talking crap to sell the fight. Margarito believes he can beat Cotto. Thats OK, He has two arms like Cotto. But HE KNOWS there is no way he is finishing Cotto in 4 rds. And Cotto might out boxing, but RUN?????? I don't think so
Yeah but lets not act like that was some ordinary guy that did that. Ironically that was the ONLY time EVER in his 100 plus fight career that happened. So I would say that has more to do with the opposition that he was facing as opposed to "things happening". Marg is slightly above average in my opinion. He's never beaten any quality opposition(Kermit Cintron?? That world beater) and everytime he's stepped up he's been owneed (Santos and Williams). Until Margarito beats a 'real' quality guy I'll say he's nothing but a Bob Arum hype piece.
