I just hope Margo doesn't catch him with some wild shot and KO him after getting his ass wupped the whole fight.

 

Miguel Cotto doesn't have the one puncher knockout power that Cintron undoubtedly had, and that man was unable to dent Margarito in two fights.

At this point, Antonio has one of the best proved chins in the welterweight division, and he would outlast Cotto's suspect chin if the two were to just hit one another repeatidly, I think.

 

I don't make a lot of comparisons but this seems a lot like the Baldomir-Mayweather fight. If Margarito is this confident and he will just come forwar all night, I just don't believe that Cotto will just stand in one place. He will mix up boxing and brawling to a point that Margarito will be fighting Miguel's fight. Does anyone agree that Margarito is too confident to the point of being over-confident. Honestly, if Margarito is trying to psych Cotto, it will the opposite in the that Cotto does not talk. Look what happened to Judah; he looked more like a P4P trashtalker and in the ring, Cotto was the P4P fighter.

Maybe Margo can do it, but to verbally put out what round your are going to knock someone out is overrated and dangerous, especially if the guy you're facing is Cotto.

 

Im looking forward to it but I really dont see it being that close. Cotto is a class apart from this guy and it will show.

 

If Cotto wins, I see it by UD as opposed to KO. That means Cotto turned it into a tactical fight and boxing clinic and made Margarito look very, very bad.

Cotto will have to deal with a bigger guy punches and punches from all angles wont get tried great chin great body attack right hand take's your best shot and keep's coming has been waiting for this kind of fight with a superstar for YEAR'S and will do what ever it takes to win Margo by KO or TKO.

 

I will tell you this, There is a pro at my gym who is sparring with Tony for this fight, and so far Tony has been working on perfecting that right uppercut, not just the upper cut but the way he also slides off when he fires that shot.
Right now Tony has about four sparring partners Navarez from my gym is one used specificly for the uppercut. Navarez is a switch hitter like Cotto but he is 140 dont know how much that will help Margarito in this fight.
However Tony has been punching holes through all of his sparring partners lately but from what I hear he really plans on just steam rolling Cotto.

Cottos chin isnt as bad as people are claiming
Margarito wont be able to deal with Cottos speed.....also I think he's more ringsmart and as powerful......If anyones chin is tried it will be Margos

 

That wasnt his prime.A better example is his destroyer getting ko'd in HIS prime by Hagler in 3.

 

Then way his was rock by little glass jaw 4 or 6 rounder Zab and cotto had to throw a coulpe of VERY HARD LOW BLOW'S just to get threw the fight.

 

Come on now lets not go there, this is a great fight between two true warriors no need in disrespecting, margarito has done his share of rabit punching and hitting below the belt.

 

Cotto will be the betting favorite.
I expect lots of people will lose lots of money on this one.
Margarito is mean. He's brutal and somewhat imtimidating. Always comes to the fight in great shape prepared to pressure for 12 rounds, not one or two, or half the fight and then fade out.
He knows Cotto can knock you out and part of the plan may be to not get knocked out early. If Cotto were to win this fight, I would think it would be by early round stoppage.......the longer the fight goes the more it favors Margo, I think
