Margarito: "I'll fight anyone"

Margarito isn't even worth $4million, why would they give him $6?

The Cotto fight made him $1.2 and the Mosley fight is making him $2. Clearly the guy isn't worth $4 let alone $6.

many of the great fighters in history knew who to fight and who not to. If Margarito is smart he stays at welterweight and fights all the guys moving up from 140? That way he can impose his strength and style on smaller guys who he can overwhelm like Cotto and Mosley. Can you imagine the result if JMM decided to take a big risk and follow Pacman to welterweight and fought Margarito? That fight would resemble Mancini/Chacon. Mancini was too strong, but Chacon gave it his all.

 

That's BS. Passing the buck to the promoter is the lamest excuse in all of boxing. If a fighter wants a fight he can get it made.

 

Exactly. Margo didn't have any problem going against Arum when he fought Williams the first time. Now all of a sudden he is a slave? BS.

 

Tony can do what he wants, he doesn't want to fight Paul, instead he fight Shane Mosley. The man is a fraud. Most feared my ass.

Actually there is plenty of stuff that is further from the truth. The promoter works for the fighter not the other way around. When guy blame their promoter for a fight not getting made it's just a cheap cop out.
