Margarito illegal wraps prior to tonight is all speculation

Additionally, Cotto was perceived by most as the bigger threat at the time, especially having just beat Sugar Shane. Imo, the probability of hand-wrap shenanigans by team Margo in the Cotto fight has to be considered high...

 

I am sure you have heard about Tito and his handwrap incident. So does that make him a cheater too:think

 

What about felix Trinidad? What about when he used illegal handwraps to fight hopkins and was caught?

Why is it that it is okay to forgive Tito and to jump on this guy?

 

People are going to assume this is damage control by AM fans.

 

They specified on HBO that the boxing commission has representitives watching the hands being wrapped as well as a trainer from the opposing team...It seems to me if the commision and more to the point a fighters own trainer is doing their job properly they will notice and question the controversial wrapping...since none did, I assume that his hands were legal...if they were negligent and did not notice this then they have no one to blame but themselves!

 

Different story. Tito was putting to much tape on his hands, Marg inserted Plastic over his knuckles under the wrap. Why is he added anything other that gauze and tape?

 

The maxim still go "If you have done it today, you could a have done it yesterday"...

 

Still, that is cheating. Taking undue advantage for your personal gain.

Anyway, Margo has been that way to most posters...He is a legit MW fighting as a WW!!!

 

I won't be surprised he did to be honest, but we surely don't know about past fights but for this one it's very clear he did.

 

But all you can do is speculate as to whether or not he cheated. The other fighters teams never noticed this dicrepency, so unless you or others have untold info the speculation is useless!!!!

It always the prosecution who must show evidence for breaking the law/rules, and not the other way around. innocent untill proven guilty?

I am not a Margo fan, and picked shane to win (on pts), but this is tiresome already...Give proof or give it a rest

 

Right now everything is speculation.. except for the fact that they were trying to cheat in this fight.

But, since we all have logic -- if he never did this before, why would he all of a sudden just decide to start now? For this fight? Unless somehow he didn't know about it - which could be true, but I don't know how that could be. But it doesn't look good atm. Have to see what further develops, but logically speaking, it is completely reasonable.

 

I can't see this being the first time Margarito has used illegal wraps. Why now all of a sudden? If anything he had more incentive to use them for Golden Johnson and Cotto. I've lost all my respect for him. :twisted:

 

so who wins in a cotto v margo rematch? i still think margo does, cotto doesn't have shanes power, chin and heart.
