Margarito has balls the size of churchbells. He is afraid of nobody and he fights like it.

Him? I think we're still missing the point. Introduce yourself to a guy named Bob Arum. He's a businessman. Why would Bob take a fight with Williams when he can get guys like Shane Mosley? Trying to steal a fighter's lustre is Bob's game, Dan Goosen has no business trying to play sheister with the master himself.

Big Guy , You conveniently forget that Goosen stated that Margarito could step to the back of the line when Team Margarito wanted an immediate rematch.
Team Margarito was turned down flat, if memory serves me correctly.

Margarito, roughly a month ago was in an 11 round war with what was widely regarded as the best WW in the world. All of a sudden Team Williams wants a rematch as soon as possible, NEXT WEEK if they could get it.

If this is all you have to base your " proof " on, I'd hate to see you in front of a judge on a murder charge you didn't commit.

I don't believe that for a second. Margarito was asked to step aside so Cotto could take the Judah fight with the promise that Tony would get another crack at Cotto (which he did) down the road. They came out with this nonsense about Margarito wanting to keep his belt to save face for the organization publicly. The same basic thing is happening now with Clottey stepping aside so Margarito can fight Mosley. Clottey will get the Margarito fight at a later date, watch. Nobody overrules Bob Arum signed at Top Rank Promotions. That's the agreement, Bob and Bruce Trampler have complete autonomy over the matchmaking.

Like I said, I don't believe the stories these guys serve up. At the expense of the "facts" I'll rely on my own interpretation of events using common sense. Margarito wants to keep belts so badly he immediately dumped the more prestigious IBF Weltweight Championship to fight Cotto this year.. Pretty consistent, eh?

Judah was a backup????? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Bob Arum is a genuis. This dude has everybody thinking that Cotto over Judah, Cotto over Mosley, and Margarito over Cotto was all an accident... Both Margarito and Cotto are worth MILLIONS and MILLIONS more than they were at the beginning of 2007. Some accident. :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Anyway, I'm not disagreeing with your logic, big guy, just your interpretation of events.

Dude, you must be the only Puerto Rican who STILL can't get over the fact that Cotto got his ass whipped. Give it up, man. It's not Margarito's fault Cotto couldn't hurt him.

    Another Margarito "hate" thread.

Maragrito is such a "*****", yet he fights the guys that Cotto and Mayweather didn't want any part of. What does that make Cotto and Mayweather?

When was the last time Cotto fought Paul Williams?

It was pretty clear that Cotto doesnt hit that hard...Margo has a great chin but if Cotto was a real banger he would have at least shook Margo up...Six head Lewis stopped Margo in his tracks, he got knocked the F---- out but he hurt him, and being that I have seen most of Margo's fights I would guess that is one of the guys that he was saying hit harder.

Cotto isnt Tito, he is more like Hopkins, he has enough power to hurt you with one shot, maybe not stop you with one shot.

HOWEVER to the guy that started this....Wasnt Cotto disrespectful to Cintron??? And why is it such a big deal that he said it..

Tony Margo is not about class and flair, won't you all please get it? The guy is a badass, tough SOB who wants to bang there on you where it's pretty uncomfortable... People wants his head, so let em make the first move, and expect something to come back at them - let's see who has the biggest balls!

Calm down bro.....I read the article. he wasn't trashing Cotto, just stating what he felt was real. He honestly felt that Cotto's punches were not powerful enough to hurt him and that he knew that he'd be able to hurt cotto and win. That was true and it played out that way. He didn't say that Cotto had no skill and that he didn't present any problems in the way of his skill. He just touched on the power topic and from what I can tell he spoke the truth. Cotto is unquestionably the better boxer and has the better skill, but Marg has the chin and determination which took him to victory in the first fight.
